was goin to describe cool cool cool , as definitively sleazey , but this is the cherry on the icin on the cake. have you played this out anywhere nashee? What sort of response did it get?
I Used to play this tune at the Wooden Bridge Guildford In 82 / 83 it was on a cheap marble arch lp A bit akin to the music for pleasure label from woolworths, Some nights it would pack the floor other times it would die a death, But its a cult tune I saw an orig british 45 sell for £60 last year. I never rememberd it being played at stafford but heard it at 100 club once around same time (not by Guy though)
Marc Hype (Melting Pot), Mitch Alive (Funkstation)
DJ B.Side (Funkorama)
Dynamic Don, Kristian Auth (Soul Inn)
Marc Forrest (Hip City Soul Club)
Steinbild, Johnny Hitman, Steven Inch (Soulkombinat)
you hear the chorus and think , ah its quite a poppy song, but what debbie taylor imbues it with makes it , coupled with the bass level and harmonies , makes it a gem. an underplayed undervalued and underestimated gem. for me anyway.tune of the week for me.
VERY YUMMY...INFACT...SO YUMMY I JUST PURCHASED SAID TUNE
first time of hearing this, love it. cheers for posting
