Soul Source Forum House Rules
Aim so that all members can enjoy and get the most out of the Soul Source Forums
(note the house rules are meant to be quick and easy guidelines for general forum use - please read the terms of use for more detailed info)



Membership

• open to all ages over 16
• please read terms of use for full info

Member Names will be failed if they...

• Contain website or email addresses
• Contain non standard characters
• Appear to impersonate someone else
• Contain swear words or are otherwise objectionable

We reserve the right to moderate posts which

• Are considered likely to disrupt, provoke, attack or offend others
• Are racist, sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit, abusive or otherwise objectionable
• Contain swear words or other language likely to offend
• Break the law or condone or encourage unlawful activity. This includes breach of copyright, defamation and contempt of court
• Are seen to impersonate someone else
• Describe or encourage activities which could endanger the safety or well-being of others
• Are considered to be 'spam', that is posts containing the same. or similar, message posted multiple times
• Are considered to be off-topic for the particular soul source forum

Forum Posting Guidelines

avatars

• avatar images used should be non-offensive and follow members name guidelines

signatures

• signature - should be of a max height no higher than the height of the avitars
• max size of any image used is 468 x 60
• no non-soul related links/advertising

fonts and colors


The site is viewed on many different devices, pcs, phones. ipads and so on
Over use of over sized fonts and coloured text can make the content hard to read or indeed unreadable on some devices
Over use may also raise accessibility issues
Members are requested to follow the below

• members should avoid over use of different fonts, text size and colours
• normal text size setting should be used where possible
• stand out font colours and sizes should only be used for emphsis
• normal case should be used (no caps lock)

If you find you do need to increase the text size or alter the colour, you can do this via your browser or pc settings

Flyers

• Due to display issues, the posting of non related or repeat event flyers is limited to the flyer gallery

Respect other members

Do not insult or personally attack another member.
You do not have the right to attack someone for having an opinion other than your own.
If someone disagrees with you, they're entitled to provided they do it respectfully

Forum Specfic Guidelines

Where needed individual forums (eg sales) will have individual rules which are at the top of each forum
please ensure that these are read before using the forums

Posting or requesting Mp3s

Due to copyright issues posting or requesting mp3s on all forums (except if posted with sales ) is not allowed.
If you do wish to post/request a clip please do so via refosoul feature

Objectionable Content

Please assist the site by reporting such via the report post feature

Links to other websites

Soul Source does not endorse the content of any website linked to from this service and is not responsible for the content or actions of those sites.
Links to site which offer illlegal bulk downloading of media will not be allowed
Posting URLs of sites excessively or in a way which could be construed as advertising are liable to have their right to post removed.

What happens if you break the rules?

Your post content may be removed or edited
Minor offences may result in a simple off-board warning.
If repeated and/or felt needed a stronger official warning may be issued
If felt needed temporary bans of progressively longer durations may be used.
If it becomes clear that someone is unwilling to use our site within the terms of use (that all agree to ) then the account may be closed.
We close accounts only as a last resort to protect the forums.
