Didn't a lot of this stuff get very limited or not 12" release ??

I have a 12" "Feel the need" that Sam had lifted the last few mins instrumental off it to play as a new mix instru, was told the 12" was never released, came on a plain yellow lable with no writing on it. Cost a fair few bucks too when i found one !!

This looks like a great album, can't wait to get it

Wonder if Chris King will get a mention at all

Really looking forwards to this Ian. Used to think remixes of classics like this were best left alone but if done the right way they really do work.
The recent Dimitri from Paris Philly remixes proves this & I'm sure this will be just as good.

If the Dimitri From Paris Philly album is anything to go by (especially the long version of The Love I Lost,The Jacksons-Living Together and the Teddy remixes) the Tom Moulton one should be one to look forward to.

The Dimitri album was great although not quite everything is as it seems there. Mr Moulton even had a helping hand in that! Ian's quite right in saying that the Philly Re-Grooved album will appeal to a slightly older crowd as it is just a little less commercial in its content. Personally, I can't fault any of the remixes but then again I'm slightly biased
I spoke to Tom the other evening and he was telling me about something he's working on at the moment (from 1967)... I can't say any more at the moment because he told me something just in passing that could lead to ...... well I just can't say at the moment. Watch this space though and enjoy Philly Re-Grooved.

A top Cosmic Philly track would be Love Committee's "Just As Long As I Got You" 'cos that's just perfect and a production masterpiece. Some of the best re-edits I've ever heard in my life have come out of these scene. Grey Matter's re-edit of Dee Dee Sharp Gamble's "Easy Money" is a masterpiece as is Todd Terje's Tangoterje remix of Michael Jackson's "I Can't Help It". If you wanna hear a couple of 'em I'll be playing some killer re-edits of Marvin Gaye's "Praise You" and The O'Jays "Darlin' Darlin' Baby" (which is brilliant by the way) on the show today.

Start worrying. Some of 'em are digging into Northern now. It won't be long before you hear a Saxie Russell re-edit at your local Cosmic Disco hangout Malc!

Seems Tom has many other things up his sleeve too. "A Tom Moulton Mix" Volume 2 is on the cards and will feature some unusual (ror Tom fans anyway) stuff. There may also be another "Motown Box" Vol 2 which, although not entirely remixes, does see Tom adding his touch to stereo mixes of previously mono only releases. He's also working on an album of Phil-La of Soul releases, one of which I mentioned previously but still can't let the cat out of the bag. Needless to say that there is a cracking beat ballad on the label from 1967 which may at least give you a clue. Answers on a postcard or just post below and I'll let you into the secret. Hahahaha

Excellent album and a well done to yourself, Tom Moulton and the team behind this.
Had the First Choice album since its first release so really impressed with the remixes of Armed And Extremely Dangerous and This Is The House ( Awesome !!), but love all the tracks, four of which I admit to not knowing but soon win you over.

Do not know if these have had the Tom Moulton treatment but would love to see it.
