Chuck Jackson once sang good things come to those who wait, well sometimes the good things come to an end. Yes it’s true the last Capitol Soul Club will take place on the 5th Anniversary on Friday 26th of November 2004. I am not saying that that it will, not re-appear phoenix like in the future, but for now the club will be no more.
Big thanks to every one who made it to the Dome last night.
Fantastic sets from the guests Roger Banks and Jo Wallace and all the residents who kept the dance floor rammed till closing time at ten past three.
Well the Capitol Soul Club DJs Mick H, Carl Fortnum and Alan H did the club proud with their sets at the Prestatyn Soul Weekender just gone.
What a fantastic weekend, and the live acts were superb and the music was top notch. Coming right up to date remember to put in your diaries

Well folks its that time again when we celebrate another year of Rare 6ts Soul/RnB @ The Dome in Tufnell Park North London.
This anniversary is even more special as two of the gang are leaving us. David Flynn is emigrating early next year to foreign lands and founder member Irish Greg is stepping down for his own reasons...boredom & Chelsea..
Thanks to everyone who came along and parted with their hard earned cash. One or two moans I see were put up on chat groups but you cant keep everybody happy. The thing is its always the same people, moan moan moan bla bla bla. They played too many oldies, they played too many unknowns.....christ! how did i manage 4 years? Anyway im taking this time to Annouce my departure from The CSC (last one being the 4th Anniversary).
Check out soul-source for a new article from the CSC boys called Come South & Carefree plus 25 mins of tunes played at the Capitol.
Resident DJ Sir Flynn of Woolwich has tracked down a few original 6ts Soul artists like Jesse Davis,Rufus Wonder,The Soul Set etc and has some interesting interviews plus Photos on his web site.

Well by now you may have heard that the recent 3rd Annivesary at the Dome was a winner, and demos that the CSC nite is still one of the best CSC soul nites around.
Dome CSC, well after moving back to the homeland a while back , my attempts to get regular to Dome, slowly got less and less, the vast amount of events, petrol prices, other involvements all meant trips down south had to be curtailed a bit. As been a bit of time since did a review of a csc nite, standby for a return of the sense of puzzlement that usually accompanies these reviews.
Seems like its just a week ago I was somewhere in North London trying to find a niteclub where word was some lot called Capitol Soul had regular soul nites that were worth getting to.
Gregs choice of Brouge Burners. Playlist (Not in order as was DRUNK!!!) C.S.C 27th Sept 2002 Been told it was biggest crowd since Sidney Barnes one and a cracker of a nite!!
Heres a tasty look forward to CSC Dome nite on Friday 27 Sep.
A top ten from Russ Vickers (who every time have caught him doing a spot has always thrown out some right tasty stuff).
Continuing the outbreak of quality rare soul on site, heres Kenny Burrells (standing in for Carl F)playlist from last Fridays CSC Dome event which some have been quoted saying it was "inspirational"!
PLEASE NOTE that the next Soul session at the Dome does not fall on the last Friday of the month due to the bank holiday, but is on Friday the 22nd of March.
