PARADISE LOST is a new night set up by dj/promoter SCOTT M.

After travelling up and down the country to hear decent dj’s scott thought it was time to get some of these dj’s on at a club more closer to home.

Kicking of the opening night we have the uk’s answer to walter gibbons, AL (millon dollar disco) KENT.
AL’s reputation for re-editing rare and obscure disco tracks is massive, Having released tracks on is own million dollar disco label as well as BBE, stilove4music music, kat and all out war, under his own name and the million dollar orchestra. There is no doubt that AL knows how to edit a disco track, but its behind the decks that Al really shines. Anybody who has been lucky enough to see him at any of the partys knows how special it is.

And in pursuit of that aim and trying to provide you with the best DJ’s on the Northern Scene we have a real treat in store.
No expense has been spared in providing a helicopter from the North Sea to Dundee airport.
A private jet continues the journey to Birmingham airport and then a chauffeured driven limousine to the Banbury metropolis.
Banbury Soul Club are exceptionally pleased and honoured to announce our special guest is none other than Scotland’s finest, Mr. Keith Money.
Keith should need no introduction as he has DJ’d across all the UK and Europe.
A 100 Club resident, Prestatyn regular and constantly in demand this will be a superb night.
Keith has kindly agreed to DJ for two separate one hour spots.
For those that heard his three spots at the last 100 Club in January then you know what quality to expect.
The earlier spot will comprise rare, underplayed and current big sounds.
The later spot will be a mix of classics and big sounds past and current.
So expect a busy dance floor.


For those that haven’t been to Banbury Soul Club the venue has an upstairs ballroom with a sprung wooden floor and a raised stage.
There is a separate bar area which is fully stocked and at club prices.
Comfortable seating and also plenty of space for record dealers.
Free parking just a few minutes’ walk away.


PLEASE NOTE – DUE TO H&S CONCERNS THE CLUB OWNERS HAVE INTRODUCED A TOTAL BAN ON THE USE OF TALC.
Please respect their policy as we don’t want to lose this venue after waiting years to obtain it.

And I hope the attached picture shows it is a highly polished floor so talc shouldn’t really be required.

PUTTING THE SOUL BACK INTO KEIGHLEY & BEYOND

Don't Drop Out! is back at The Bell on Saturday 3rd March, for our second event of 2012!

From 8pm until 2am we’ll be spinning a mixture of classic oldies and underplayed rare soul, Motown, R&B, all things soulful on 45rpm vinyl, and joining us on the decks this month will be the excellent Glen Goodwin, who'll be treating us to some of his finest 45s.
The venue has a fantastic wooden floor throughout with plenty of space for dancing and we also have a second room open downstairs with seating, in case anyone feels like sitting down...

Finding us is easy – we are between Liverpool Street and Aldgate tube stations, and accessible from a number of bus routes.

DOWNTOWN SOULVILLE is back for more on the 3rd of March.

This will be our fourth event, and i'm chuffed to tell you that at the last three events numbers have double each time and we seem to have a real thing going. The last one was something really special.

Very excited to confirm our DJ line up. IAN JACKSON was one of the first people that many of us heard play proper northern soul when we were young whippersnapper mods and bit of a legend in his own lunchbox. Playing out since 1984 Ian has been there, seen it, done it. For Downtown Soulville he will be playing full-on sixties soul set with plenty of rareties and his trademark hyper energy all thrown in. Not to be missed. Ian will be joined my the delightful MATT BOLTON, spinning beautiful ‘60s and ‘70s sounds. Residents JOEL MASLIN, JAKE LINGWOOD and OLLIE LAILEY will be doing what they always do – rocking a massive soul party, each in their own trademark style! Early arrivals will catch SEAN LEONARD warming up with a lovely bit of modern and crossover.

The SINK SOUL CLUB is back in action at their new venue housed inside The Cabin Club, 139 Wood Street, Liverpool, L1 4DH (at the top of Wood Street opposite St.Luke's ('Bombed-Out') Church on the corner of Leece Street and Berry Street)

Saturday 3rd March, from 9pm to 3am.

DJs include Stan Evans, Pete Everett and Dennis Haw, with Guests to be announced.

The club has two floors. The SINK is on the ground floor with The Go-Go Cage in the basement.
There will be a good mix of Soul, R&B, Ska, etc on both floors and entry is just £3.
