Guilty as charged. What was even funnier was Sian was replying to my texts at 4am. You might as well have come out to play if you were still up at that time

Talking to the Bromsgrove mafia last and they are gonna be there in numbers. Lutterworth Travel Lodge wont know what has hit them!

I can recommend the Carvery, Annette and me will be in there at 4pm just before we nip up to set up the decks.

As Pat has mentioned there is a Travelodge just off J20 M1 about five min drive from the venue or

there are hotels in the centre of Lutterworth 2 min walk from the venue.

If anyone requires any info please pm me for more details.

Just a quickie before i hit the sack, 30 months and 26 soul nights later, Pat and I have finally reached a conclussion with the last "Sonic Soul" Soul Night. And what a night it was!!!! we would both like to say how humbled we are with the level of support from both DJ's who have given their time, energy and own expense to come and spin original vinyl for us at Sonic Soul, next for all the soulies who have stuck with us through thick and thin to support us over the last 2 and a half years. All are genuine peeps, who have gone out their way without gratitude, to enhance the soulful enjoyment of all like minded genuine soul enthusiasts.

More to follow Tom

Ps

An old cliche, But at times like this the most appropriate words that come to mind are!!!!!!!!!!

"Keep The Faith"

Sorry for any spelling mistakes but too tired to spell check, Thumbs Up!!!!!!!!!

Tom, Pat & Tee...THANK YOU XXXXXXXXX

It was a wonderful night a truly soulful gathering of many of the soul 'royalty' DJ's were spot on and floor never emptied...........fab to finally meet Winnie and his gang, same too with Matt Male and Ted Massey (I have got you a Guardian subscription sorted as per request Ted!!) I was allowed on to the top table with Sian, Ruth, LouLOu (we have a new name for you tell you tuesday!!!) Dean, Woody and Dave Rimmer - sorry I took your reserved seat....very comfy ta! Smashing to see Steve brown and of course Mr Weston - sorry about the photos please delete & nothing more will be said;) xx Tabs, Charlie & Craig form Banbury too.

All the DJ played a superb mixture of tunes and I even threatened to double deck with Eddie Hubbard due to Jellybean phoning in sick (hope you are both all ok for the Big One tomorrow!)....it would have been.....memorable, but in a very very bad way.......... lucky escape all round!!!!!!!

We were all there for an assortment of very pertinent reasons and it felt like a thoughtful coming together of true kinship - names I forget or never even knew but it didn't matter at all last night. We had a night to remember for all of the right reasons.

Sorry to say au revoir to Sonic Soul but looking forward to the next chapter...............

Merry Christmas Tom, Theresa and Pat and everyone who attended and see you all soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Excellent night, I needed to dance, and be in good company, I got both, Melly, you made me laugh, but be assured it was with you and not at you, Ted loved seeing you out on the dancefloor, and you smelled really nice :) Sian you do realise you're not the complete ticket don't you? Matt enjoyed out chat. There should have been a thumbs up smiley there, but they've disappeared, or it's been so long since I've written in this section, I've forgotten they weren't there in the first place. Great to see the 'Rimmerman', they played Joanne Courcey just after you left :) Musically I enjoyed the evening, danced a fair bit, have much less lactic acid build up in the legs, so I am still able to walk......can't be bad. Loads of people there I knew, which was comforting, Panch, you're a star, Karen B, I'm still not going to bloody zumba. Trev enjoy your lambada lessons, I get the feeling Lynn is quite strict, so don't think you'll be able to get out of it.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

What a great start to Christmas, a superb night in so many ways. Absolutely loved every minute of it from the moment we set foot though the doors to the time we had to drag ourselves away.

Brilliant to see Ted dancing, what a mover :)

Thank you to Pat, Tom and everyone else in promoting this event, sit back and be proud at a job well done!

Have a great Christmas everyone and see you in the New Year somewhere.

Why thank you darling, I would never like to be accused of being "normal" coz that is way too boring...;-)

This night was perfect timing in so many ways.

I couldn't travel far because of commitments at home, so 8 miles was fine.

I needed to get out...stress release.

I wanted to celebrate the passing of a lovely person.

and lastly spend a few hours with some good friends.

The whole night was spot on...did a lot more chatting than dancing but had so much to talk about.

Thanks for Sonic Soul it was a perfect little Soul Nite for us as Fridays aren't always an easy one to get out to but as close as you were was an easy option.

And the best news today, my grand-daughter got out of hospital on time for Xmas...;-)

It has been an absolute pleasure running Sonic Soul with Tom and Ralph and for like minded Soul People. Seeing this venue full was just brilliant. Tom and I hope it started what will be a fantastic Christmas for all who attended.

Yes it was the last monthly event. What with both having heavy duty jobs and me spending weekends up North it was just too much for us to carry on. If I could only move this venue to Stoke or further North, brick by brick I would. Thank you so much to our regulars who supported us throughout the year, Sain, Melly, Tabs, Charlie, Eddie not to forget the great Ted Massey, Dave Rimmer,John Weston, Woody and lou Oh my god and too many more to mention but thanks for being with us.

Now Fiday night! Absolute stormer. The DJs were in top form. Double Deckin with Tony Foster for me was a Christmas Extravaganza indeed. My knees were in a terrible state the following day.

Must mention the quality of the dancing as well, who was that woman at the front when Nige and Smiggy were on, awsome and then some.

Come on then DJs, get them playlists up for us all to see.

Sian, So glad your grandaughter is out of hospital for Christmas, mine are calling me right now so better go.

Happy Christmas and have a brilliant New Year.

Well seeing as though it was the last Sonic Soul do for us i thought i better come on and say something, firstly it's been great being part of a like minded team i.e. Pat & Tom with help from Theresa in putting on a night imo of great and varying music with some absolute top dj's playing some of the best tunes you could wish for on a soul nite, and thanks to the people who turned up and supported us and help turn it into such a great event that was always a pleasure to be at.

Must not forget the management who gave us free run of what we were doing with great support, thankyou everyone and will see you all out and about somewhere in the future.

cheers Ralph :0)
