Really looking forward to the Legion on Saturday, having not been anywhere this weekend due to work (naffed off is'nt the word) :(

Coming to support Tony P as he will feel isolated without his conjoined twin, by his side. Not heard Mick Smith before.....dont think? so that should be good. Kev Fearnhead has got some awesome tunes i'm told? And your good self Mr Brookes always a few surprises in your sets. I especially am looking forward to Nidge's spot as i still feel guilty for going for a snooze just as he came on at Southport Weekend.

Always a top night here see you Saturday

Sandy

Now stoppit-

Although we have been known to wear similar looking shirts, we are NOT joined at the hip and are quite capable of independant thought.

Are'nt we Steve ???

Well seeing as Grant wont be there, it may be safe to play "that" record.

I was thinking of giving it a rest, mind.

Cheers Sandy, should be a good night on Saturday with the mix of DJs we've got on. Mick Smith runs Southport Railway Club along with Mr Farley and has a great collection including some top Stafford tunes.

Looking forward to a good selection of sounds from all the DJs throughout the evening, see you on Saturday!

Ste

First pet's name + mum's maiden name = your name if you were a pornstar. What's yours mate? :g:

Haven't been anywhere for a while and thoroughly enjoyed the Legion as I always do. The usual good company and laughs aplenty (primarily at Headley's account of falling asleep for three hours with his head in a woman's oven whilst 'working' as a gas man: "When she came in she asked if everything was alright" - gerraway  ). Great to hear things like Vondors and Adventurers getting spins, never just run o'tmill. Even sold a couple of records, all good!

Really looking forward to NY Eve and trust that Mr Cunliffe has the catering in hand?

Ps. Ste, I was 'Tyler White' when I appeared, briefly, in 'Delores does Deepdale' circa 1978. I shaved it off straight after

Oh Joan, I still have nightmares about the veterinary call to clinic: "Choo Choo Threlfall please". I thought it was funny when I called it that ... ... head down, taxi

Thanks for the comments Phil and Joan, how does Floppy Bober, star of Olives Ormskirk Oral Odyssey grab you.......?

Good night once again at the Legion, thanks to everyone for coming over and we hope you enjoyed it. Top music from all the DJs, I must say Kevs tunes were outstanding-------the Four Tops never sounded better!

Next one up at the Legion is our New Years Eve Mini Nighter, Saturday 31st December. Hope you can all make it along, see you there.

Yes not a lot to add as others have done it very well but I must put in a word for Mr Brookes himself, musically often the 'unsung hero' at his own do- was worth getting there for 8 sharp to hear Doris Troy's "face up to the truth" (capitol) and THAT shirelles one being spun, also the sublime Sensations "gotta find myself another girl" (way out, what a double-sider);Mick s played two crackin' sets as did Nige(invitations "watch out little girl",zz hill "what more",Eddie Carlton's "misery", to name but 3) but as usual hard to single anyone out in a superlative blend. Can't recall if it was Tony P or Kev F who played "gotta be a reason" by Bernard S and Jokers Wild but well done that man. As Phil T says was "all good"!
