well l gotta say my good, good friend karl ......is paying the utmost attention to djing detail.......especially the positioning of a fella who l can only say is not only a proper bloke but who plays music with a passion not often seen and who is quietly responsable for reactivating the most desirable underpl;ayed dance stuff a fella who's records blow 99% of other dj's out the water........and who's selections are sublime.....he loves this spot and SO DO WE ALL.........the mighty FRED KROLL.........this night is GONNA ROCK the foundations of the bat cave......f**k me is that cheesy........but absolutely bang on honest and sincere.........see ya there tezza & jan x

p.s and at 3 O'Clock when most places wind down.......on comes THE LEGEND to crank it up still further......THE BURNLEY NIGHTER...........carlsberg couldn,t get near to the recipe.........woo woo

Just a quick thank you to all our friends and supporters for making yet another FANTASTIC night in Burnley. Great to see so many new faces too, all seemingly enjoying themselves, just looking around the room it's obvious that people are out for a good time, and that's what we set out to achieve. It amazes me how far quite a few people travelled to get to us. Dundee, Bournemouth and London! Special thanks to those people for making the effort and  really hope to see you again.

Big thanks to all of our DJ's, Residents and Guests, all playing in their own particular style and above all, doing it will a passion. Musically, playing various styles (perhaps a little more than usual) but still Very soulful. Certainly playing something for everyone. Well done guys.

That's it for me for now, I need to get to bed :)

See you again in January!

Best regards to you all, Sean

Another very busy night at Burnley, which is always great to see and like Sean says a varied selection of music.

No doubt it will be business as usual in January, which is only right, but I for one will really miss Karl about the place. His enthusiasm is infectious and the passion he has for all he does is second to none. Thanks for everything hun x

I’m sat her on Monday morning contemplating my weekend, I think I have just visited a perfect Soul Night and a perfect Allnighter, how does this happen?

There are a number of ingredients that have to be in place and a number of special factors that become magical and often elusive to promoters to give that dimension and atmosphere that is hard to put your finger on and impossible to manufacture, otherwise they’d all be doing it and every Allnighter and Soul Night would be magnificent and they clearly are all not!

I know I am straying into the weeds when I say this but Middleton’s closure had left a gaping hole in our Northernsoul heart, lots of promoters have offered up their take on a Allnighter giving great venues and fantastic DJ line ups with a bag of ingredients that on paper should work very well but its rather like trying to have a musical career, easyish to get the exposure as long as you have the machine and money but getting credibility and longevity is a mysterious business.

Burnley is not a mimic of Middleton, there aren’t many comparisons yet the dynamic is thunderous with a real and tangible explosion of credible dance keeping the quality line very high and the dance floor heaving without clutching at the dreary or resorting to the formula.

The powerhouse behind Burnley is made up of people who are very difficult not to like and respect, their drive and enthusiasm is infectious and quite apparent and this infects the punter in a way that installs confidence and trust, the love and care of music is not a rare trait yet you kinda want to be part of their thrust towards danceable quality and it is here that I believe Burnley becomes a great Allnighter.

The punters are traveling from Dundee and Great Yarmouth, London and The West Country and of course South Yorkshire, this is a testament of the pull Burnley has, there is a recession on and we are flooded with choice so the selections are mad with great care.

If I had to describe Burnley in one word it would be a “Triumph”

The Burnley Sound......much has been said of this......however it is very real and tangible. Saturday night was full up and l for one thought at last people are coming to this venue....not  "to have a go" or knock it in some way,but because it delivers on all levels....the music  well what can ya say  a sound built around it,s residents with guests who try!!.Saturday,no exception   the promoters work hard not just to put it on,but all through the night  rather like  Alex Ferguson  watching over united in a cup final, and most of all working as a team...for this super, super little soul club.Of course the odd tune may be not to our liking........but the allnight dance vibe is never compromised that is non negociable  and the people respond in kind by not wanting to go home. Right up until 6 the place throbs...no negative body language, just energy.

Our lot love it all, the place,THE MUSIC and the great soul fans who attend,  who are given not just their £10 entrance worth, but their petrol monies worth.....man of the match goes to karl heard......that was a burnley set par extrodinare....can,t say thanks enough to the mighty SEAN & KARL for this place plugged into the nationl grid. Looking forward to next year....keep up the great work......it may not always be said  but your efforts are very much appreciated by all

atb the very best tezza & Jan x

Simon, played by Karl Rhodes i think, who got me on the floor with The Cliffhangers.

What a superb night. The nearest to an "underground" feel of a nighter? Fred Kroll with his Esther Grant....Karl with a floorpacker for the last hour...lights come on...no-one goes home....thanks Karl and Sean...(Karl,if you're reading this,,my mobile's bust....)...

Thoroughly enjoyed Burnley on Saturday, just caught the last 15 mins of Sean's spot.....gutted would have liked to have been there earlier to hear more! Glad Fred was on earlyish, great spot and thanks so much for the cd's, (hope to see you and Nadine on the 5th Nov).

I was absolutely mortified to find out that i slept for a whole 2 HOURS........for which i could have kicked my own head in, as it resulted in me missing the whole of Alex and Phil's spots. WTF. Obviously did'nt get to catch up on sleep with working nights during week!......well that and drinking copious amounts of vodka!!!

Sort of made up for it when Karl Rhodes came on, by which time my batteries were fully charged and i was enjoying myself on the dance floor, until i had to be dragged out kicking and screaming at 4-30, because the deal was we were supposed to leave at 4-00 ;0( So Ali please tell Alex that i'm so sorry i missed his spot, if its any consolation Tony said it was his best spot of the night.

Looking forward to January already, (seems ages off).

Cant agree more Tez! Another brilliant nite fantastic turn out and well appreciated !! Big thanx to all who takes part and thats everyone from organisers DJs and punters who do make that special effort. Musically a bit for everyone so party party was how it unfolded as one of the best ever IMO.

All DJs delivered what was expected and more!

For me the last 3 hours had the edge Cliff Camfield, Karl Rhodes and last but no means least the Karl the Hurdy Gurdy guy wow! Sent me and and the rest home smiling!! I always feel wer all a big family here!! Long may it continue.

Lookin forward to the next one! When is it?
