The Beauty of booking early is the anticipation and build up to a great weekend. To the Jersey Virgins, you've got a great time ahead of you, to the Jersey Veterans who are going back for more, you know it's like a family reunion. Here's to Jersey 2012, once we get into the new year the countdown will commence.

Ayup Froggy,
Are you going on Thursday with Willie & Sue, or will we see you on Friday??? (presuming Willie & Sue are flying out Thursday, they always go a day or two earlier??).
Don't know what happened to all the other posts I put on here??
I put lots of information on for Airport Parking etc, etc. But the posts seemed to have all been removed?? I think it happened when Soul Source changed things about?
Arrived in Jersey around lunch time today (Wednesday). Got picked up from the airport and taken straight to The Mayfair Hotel. Linda and Adele went into St Helier for some retail therapy and came back with that many bags of shopping, they nearly needed a taxi. We had a lovely four course evening meal and whilst I went into the gym, the girls did the steam room and a swim. Now in the bar having a few swift "Newky Browns".
Happy Days.
Roll on Friday when the weekender really kicks in.
Hope you all have a good time in Jersey, Mike will be coming over from Guernsey, I'm off to the Twisted Wheel on the Friday and then doing Lifeline on the Saturday, flying back to Guernsey on the Sunday, so wont be making it....
Make sure everyone plays O.V.O. and not to many chart tracks ehh...
Well absolutely gutted to be still grounded here in England due to weather conditions in Jersey,we got the sad news after spending 3 hours in the airport bar at John Lennon airport last night [Thursday] and then we were told nothing doing until at least Sunday [easyjet] today more planes cancelled from Man/Lpl/etc for those who made it have a great weekend and for all those that didn't we know the feeling... Froggy/Rita/Willie/Sue/Alan/Jaque..Nil Satis Nisi Optimum
update on the conditions looks good for early afternoon to jersey airport we hopefully fly at ten from manchester [ saturday ] loads of people been put up for the night in a hotel near east midlands they even put a soul night on for them in the function room , enjoy guys see ya tomorrow, paul
i hate to bring bad news but the fog in jersey was lifting late this afternoon but its coming back now pretty thick, check jersey met in the morning they should update early
I hope you can all get out there tomorrow, unfortunately i was on the blue island flight which only carries 42 passengers and the saturday and sunday flights are both full so i wont be able to make it out there, GUTTED is an understatment!! if you do get out there i hope you all have a great time and play some tunes that i would have played.
Stuck in Birmingham airport at the moment (Saturday AM) - flight is delayed but not yet cancelled ... but weather report in Jersey not looking good though. Fingers crossed that the f*****g fog lifts. Feel sorry for Fitzy & Chris after all their hard work getting to this point.
They should change the ad. "JERSEY - THE FOGGIEST PLACE IN THE BRITISH ISLES"
Hope you all get there ok, we couldn't get a flight, even looked at ferries, but bloody expensive, now at home licking our wounds and no Jersey in sight, thoroughly fed up and pissed off.
Just back from djing at the jersey weekender
after the delays etc this week end turn out to be one of the best so far.
Saterday night they must have beeen 450--480 and all up for it
just so sorry for the ones who could not make it.
last night the supremes ????? LIVE SO FUNNY,cant wait till linda bridge posts the vidio
Lisa & Neil (and anyone else who didnt get there) we were gutted not to see you. We eventually left Birmingham about 1pm and then couldn't land in Jersey and finished up in Guernsey. The airline then put us on a ferry and we got to the hotel about 6pm. At least we got two nights in Jersey - two great nights which lived up to the previous years. Sunday night is always a great night and this year was made all the more special by the appearance of "The Supremes" - cant wait to post the video on the website. LOL.
hi , just getting over a very enjoyable weekend , good spots by all the dj,s a bit for everybody just how it should be great hotel a warm welcome by the hosts , sorry to here some didnt make it but there,s always next year , cheers paul

Hey Jim<
We were mortified not be able to get there, but by the time we had sorted out whether or not we could change car parking and we priced up ferries (which were full) just in case we flew to Southampton there were no seats available, Michelle and Gareth had the same problem at Birmingham, their flights were cancelled on Friday and they were told there wasn't another flight until Sunday!!!
Oh well ce La vie, its done now, just hoping we can recoup some or all of the money back, can't afford to lose any.
Are you going to Brid or Scarborough? We aren 't doing Brid this year, going to Anglesey Weekender the weekend after Brid instead, Benny Troy and Dean Parrish are on, looking forward to the change. We are doing Scarborough tho!!!
Just got back to York today from what eventually became the "Best Jersey Weekender" to date.
Linda, Adele & myself decided to fly out Wednesday until Tuesday (Today), so we could get in a couple of chilled out days in before the Weekender started and an extra day to recover before flying back.
On Thursday we got the news that the fog was very heavy and possibly no flights in or out that day. Well that happened for sure including Friday. We had a nice surprise for the 27 coming out early on Thursday including our personal friends; Willie & Sue, Froggy & Rita and Jackie & Gibby. (That will have to happen next year now!!). Then on Friday we was told that no flights in or out of Jersey were taking place. The few that already made it Wednesday and travelled by Ferry Thursday were all totally gutted about the whole Fog situation.
So, Friday night still went ahead with the 200 ish Jersey Soulies and it turned out to be a great night. We just opened the one room and the mixture of music suited everyone.
On Saturday we got the news that there was going to be flights into Jersey but all depending on the Fog lifting..... Ohhhhh Yes, Yes, Yes was coming from everyone. Eventually flights came in from Liverpool, Manchester, East Midlands and Gatwick with 168 Soulies. Originally there was 200+ flying Thursday / Friday. Unfortunately not everyone was offered a replacement flight on Saturday, including Willie & Sue etc from Thursday night, who was not offered another flight out until Sunday. Understandable there was a few that also decided not to bother making the journey Saturday, but most didn't make it because of the "No flight or seats available"..... Anyway they arrived including Jim & Gail who actually flew to Guernsey and got the ferry across to Jersey.
Saturday night went brilliantly with more Jersey Soulies joining us making the nights total to around 500. Both rooms were absolutely bouncing and everyone seemed to be in great spirits. I finally got to bed at 3.45am. Awesome!!
Sunday afternoons session was quite, most people went site seeing and for those who had seen the island many times went chilling on the sea front and harbour etc. Sunday night we was joined by around 100+ Jersey Soulies and I've got to say the best Sunday night I have ever been involved in. About midnight, the Fancy dress started to appear for the last two hours. The two that stood out for me was: Daz (Jersey) who dressed as the "Big Fat Man" and Pat (Manchester Twisted Wheel Corner Crew) dressed as a Pregnant Nun. Lawrence Grimshaw, Jools Metcalfe and myself did the "Jersey Supreme's", which went down really well. Lawrence (Who stood in for Danny Clegg) was absolutely well up for it and turned out to steel the show, Lawrence you were outstandingly brilliant. (Linda will forward the video clip very soon).
Massive thanks to Fitzy & Christine for yet another "Awesome Weekender". Really looking forward to next years confirmed dates of: Friday 15th - Sunday 17th February 2013.
we were jersey weekender virgins and we had a hard time gettin there due to the fog, but all i can say is as soon as the flights are on for next feb there will be 8 of us from wigan on our jolly way to the mayfair, we had a great time thanks to all involved and the crowd from jersey who made us all welcome.

Hi Neil,
It will be great to have you and your friends on board. The confirmed weekender dates are Friday 15th - Sunday 17th February 2013.
This year it cost £269 per person. Flying out on Friday and Flying back on Monday. The flights are around 1 hour. I guess you would probably want to fly from Manchester?
No Passport required. Just photographic ID, like your Driving Licence etc.
The £269 covers:
Flights, Transfers to and from the hotel.
4 Course Evening Meal: Fri, Sat & Sun.
Full English Breakfast, plus all the extras including continental: Sat, Sun & Mon.... Both waiter service.
All rooms have en-suites, Tea/Coffee etc, Sky TV.
There is also free Internet in the hotel lobby.
Weekender Pass for Fri, Sat & Sun Evening (2 rooms). Sat & Sun afternoon session (1 room). The afternoon sessions do not get busy, due to most people going Tax Free shopping in St Helier or site seeing the Island etc.
In the hotel there is: Swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Steam room and full equipped Gym (2 rooms).
There is also a really nice chill out lounge and bar (showing big screen soul footage). There is also a nice Cafe, serving the usual snacks etc.
5 minutes walk into St Helier main shopping street.
You might be better giving Fitzy a bell on: 07831 458 780 for more information with regards to next years details (flights, bookings) etc. We went Wednesday and flew back Tuesday. It only cost us an extra £37 per person, per night (which included the 4 course evening meal & breakfast)..... Well worth it.
Please feel free to Personal Message me if you wish, I will do my best to help.
