Ive literally just been told this evening that the event on Saturday will unfortunately have to close at 1am!
I'm really sorry that it is such short notice but there is nothing I can do at this late stage and I cannot apologise enough to everyone, it was a massive shock to me too!
So anyone who has booked taxis etc for 3am, please re-book.
I am hoping that this is a temporary 'blip' for the events as I know that the 3am finish was popular for many.
So....please try and get there earlier to enjoy the full 5 hours!

Paul After all the trials & tribulations of putting the night together I'm so glad you managed it as it was a cracker.Great crowd in & all seeming to be having as good a time as I was, thought there was plenty of new faces in which is always good to see.Enjoyed all sets & credit to all behind the decks for bringing something different to the night in there own ways.So looking forward to the next installment in April. Great set Martyn, loved the Kenny Thomas c/u..................
Great tunes from start to finish, the 5 hours flew by and I hated having to close early!
Loved Dave Clark's opening spot, lots of nice forgotten tunes, well done Dave, we'll sort you with a later spot another time. All the spinners played interesting & varied sets! I knew they would!
Always good to see new faces, hope they enjoyed themselves and will re-join us at our new venture,
It was a night of mix & match but considering the late changes and shortened hours I thought it worked really well.
1 am came very quickly, I always think its a sign of a good night when the time flies.
I must thank all the loyal regulars who have supported the events over the past few years at ebuc, as you may have heard on the grapevine, there are some problems with an ex committee member who is making problems for the club, this is having a knock on effect on all the music events.
As a result of this all the events at EBUC willl now have to close at 11.30.
So I have decided to call it a day at EBUC, I have some fantastic memories of the wonderful nights there and hope it brought some happiness to the regulars as well.
Watch this space for details of the new venue, ive just got to double check all the details and be 100% sure its the right choice for the night...
I think you'll like it very much.....especially the closing times...lol
I'm back on the scene with my record machine.......

Really enjoyed last night at Bradford, many thanks for asking me to spin a few tunes Paul.
Shame about the venue but it will probably be a good move to find somewhere else considering the circumstances-----we'll be along to the new venue when it opens.

As many of you now know, our February event at EBUC was the final one at the venue, it was very short notice and we didn’t even have time to arrange a proper send off to the old gal.
I want to say a massive thanks to our loyal regulars and guest DJ’s, you made it something very special!
So, the dice rolled once more as we packed our record decks and set off like nomads in search of yet another venue…
Not an easy task at all: Too Big, too small, smells damp, smells of pi+s, too expensive, looks filthy, mucky nets, sticky floors etc.
Many clubs & bars now want to shut at 11.30pm and most wanted everyone out for midnight so its been really difficult to find a manager who understands the basics of the soul scene and someone who is willing to stay open until the middle of the night so that we can continue with the events in Bradford, albeit in a different venue.
The location was extremely important, it had to be away from residential areas but easy to locate for the many travellers who attend the rarer & underplayed events in Bradford.
So, I’ll keep it short and sweet, Rosemary & I trawled through just about every club and bar with a function room this week and finally found the perfect replacement where we can continue the events.
Its literally only 3 or 4 minutes away from EBUC
Close to M62 / M606 networks
Great Sound System
All the dates on the old ebuc flyer are available to us, the May Charity all-dayer will now be open regular hours 8.30 – 2.30am but still to raise funds for a local Charity
Car Park with CCTV Beer Garden & Covered Smoking area
Reasonably priced drinks & friendly staff
Please come and join us for our opening event on 14th April
Bradford Mill Lane Soul Club
93-101 Mill Lane
Bradford
West Yorkshire
BD4 7BP
(Im not sure if this is in the right section, apologies to mods in advance)
Great news Paul, looking forward to the 14th April already.
Just put a few pics in gallery from last one.......would have taken lots more if i would have realised it was last one........or if i had'nt have been too drunk!!!
Hi PaulOur very best wishes for the New VenueCarms and i have some great memories of both the other venues too,, and will be along to support as soon as my own committment allowsPlease pass our good luck wishes yourself all involvedNige B x
