The 100's Club one and only Ady Croasdell will be our Special Guest for our 8th Anniversary All-nighter. You will be hopefully be treated to the recent Pied Piper discoveries including tracks from The Cavaliers (Superb it is too), Tony Hestors original version of Just Can't Leave You, another gem, and others from September Jones, Telma Hopkins and more!! All this and the regulars all adds up to one top night of Rare Soul.

Hi Yah Chalky,
I am thinking of coming to the Real Deal Soul Club for the first time and just wondered if I needed to purchase a ticket. Could you also let me know if the Premier Inn is close by? I will be travelling up from Kent.
Thanks

Just go west on A5 toward Telford and M6 North and after about 3/4 mile turn left on Wolverhampton Road, takes you to Junction 11 of M6, stables is just past there mate. Take you 15 minutes maximum.

Andy and myself will be passing around 8 to 8.30 Ady if that is any use, we can pick you up. If you want an extra hour or so snoozing then I'm sure others will be passing at some point. Either way you are two or three miles from the venue.

Bollox...it's my turn to drive....it's bad enough listening to that pair of 'owd Stoke farts whinging and moaning all the way there, but having to then stay sober and hear 'em on the way back is another!

Oh, and best frisk Adam Topping for any antwacky amstrad amps he wants to plug in upstairs...swear it was that fcuker and his dodgy equipment who kept tripping your power last time......though thinking about it, those 3 consectutive spins of the Hopkins Bros could possibly have had the same effect......probably sent the fcukin' deck to sleep...

Is Mick H on crutches then......might have to take me junior hacksaw..... :wicked: :D

Well we've got a world exclusive for you. A great southern 60s soul stomper by Herman Moore cut at Muscle Shoals. I rushed to get an acetate cut of it for the last 100 Club; it arrived just in time and then I left it on the dining room table! It has the Butch seal of approval, so it'll be OK to dance to it. lol

GREAT STUFF AND SO EXCLUSIVE THAT I USED TO HAVE THIS ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE ENCHANTED RHYTHM OF LOST/SOLD/SKIMMED/GIVEN AWAY/STOOD ON/THROWN AT THE MISSES-OR THE WALL(TEMPER

The line up looks great so thinking of coming to Lifeline for the first time in about 7 years

Reading the comments suggests parking may be a problem and as I won't be there until a bit after the start I wondered if there's likely to be a shortage? Last time I was there some kind person in a white van smashed the front of my car and drove off costing me hundreds of pounds and my no claims).

Parking should be ok, a large car park in front of the building and the door staff always on hand to help out.

First visit to the Stables for awhile but that's a mistake I won't be making again.Cracking night, top music, great atmosphere what more do you want from a nighter.Ady's Ben E King took top honours on the night for me,forgotten how good it sounds at a venue.Who played Dee Dee Warwick-Worth Every Tear I Cry (Butch I think?) as I've not heard that in ages & that also sounded great.
Well done all
Cheers

Morning.. or should I say afternoon... Great night really enjoyed the music heard some of my current faves loud and also heard many fresh to my ears which were awesome. I can well understand why Butch is still held in such high regardand why people still travel to see Dj's , his set just blew me away , but the one that came home with me written on one of Maria's cute little flyers/business cards was .......

MILTON JAMES - MY LONELY FEELINGs...the beat entered the brain like an electric current and travelled at a rapid pace of ferrari speed to me toes....amazing !

When it kicked in I looked at Nige and he looked at me.... Tune of the night or what , it was just awesome. I had to go and ask Arthur ... I need to know what this is.

It was also lovely to hear the Grey Imprint Loud and proud , trouble is it was too early in the night and I had just arrived so I didn't feel ready to hit the floor as the environment was new to me. I was still easing in , if you know what I mean.

It was great to see a few chums as normal and shock a few that I was there , cause you know nighters are far and few for me, it takes me too long to recover. so I tend to leave them to others .

But I need to hear that tune again ...soon :)

Great venue , good to see its well supported , and how much it inspired me can't be measured. Sorry I couldn't make it through to the end , but I did I what I could and enjoyed every minute of it.

Lovely to be able to see Ady play beyond the 100 , I do hope the late night coupled with the unusual travelling doesn't have too much of an effect on him today , and also that he remembers the thrill of radiating his sounds to many that don't normally hear him. Lets hope it fuels him to play up north more often because Dj's that can play with the variation of tempo as well as the quality of the sound are few.

A great night, really enjoyed it. All night the music was excellent, and heard plenty of my favourites. Loads of friends there, particularly nice to see Keith Miller, Carms and Nige, Martyn and Lynn and many others. Thanks to Trickster for driving, and good to see Andy Newman again. Hope you get the plane back home okay.

Nice to hear some of Ady's 100 Club exclusives in a larger venue, they went down very well on the dance floor.

Finally of course thanks to all the DJs and organisers, they all did a sterling job, Keep up the good work.

Thanks to all who made our 8th Anniversary a memorable night, numbers healthy, music fantastic as was the company. Thanks to all the Dj's especially our guest who we finally managed to drag out of London, Ady Croasdell. Plenty of comments about how many enjoyed what he played as they rarely get the chance to hear him up t'north. The Detroit Spinners superb, I was stood by him and pretty sure he didn't mention a title unless I'd gone deaf.

Sorry I missed you Dave Kil, I came looking for you but you must have gone? I did spot you earlier, you should have come and hit me with that stick.

Can't believe how quickly the night went! Heard so many of my favourite records but must admit that butch and ady were particlarly playing to my tastes last night from the "a girl can dream" midtempo & 70s wants to the fast-paced passion, inspiring attempts at youth on the floor. Seriously needed a good night out dancing (after being glued to a desk every day for the last few weeks) so arrived very hypo, but left exhausted with very strange hair after 5:30. Still smiling today.
Many thanks to the dj's + and all the guys & girls of the Lifeline crew. Nice to catch up with a few people again too.

My first Lifeline last night and I felt very at home there! Rare tracks, great music and with Ady providing exclusive stuff, made it quite special i.e Motown - spinners. which felt a natural dancer.

Left 5:30am as I was the worse for wear! but a very good allnighter. Floor was great; everyone had awareness, even when it filled - no-one getting in the way of each other. No-one been hassled, or unwanted lewd behaviour. Highly recommended!!
