Thanks to everybody that attended our little venue on Saturday. It was great to see you all again.
For those that couldn't / didn't make it, you missed one hell of a night of 'Real' R&B from our Guests Steve Crooks and Dave Byrne. Just brilliant. Thanks again lads.

We're having a little Christmas do on the 28th December, where any of our regular attendees can come along and play records or CDs to their hearts content. No Guests or Resident DJs. We're having a break. There will also be a buffet, supplied by all our local attendees. I'm looking forward to that, especially after last year's display. :-)

Our 'Fixture List' for 2012 is more or less arranged, with the following Guests;

February: The 'Two-Tones' (Tony Brookes & Tony Mundey)

April: Kev Kus (To be confirmed)(might switch to June)*

June: The Lincoln Imps (To be confirmed)(might switch to April)

August: John Kelly *

October: Bill Kealy (All the way from Ireland)*

December: Steve Crooks & Dave Byrne

* We may add a second Guest for months April / June, August and October, which will be announced at a later date.

Plus our regular list of residents in cluding Denbo, Ron Honey, Alec Southern, Pete Everett, Phil Sharples, Mike Hawkins and Steve Longworth. Obviously, they're not all on at the same time, we tend to rotate our residents to keep things fresh and interesting.

So, make a note in your Diaries now and make sure you come along for a crackin' night of R&B / Early Soul / and a smattering of Popcorn.

Had an excellent night at the Rhythm Shack on Saturday night.

Numbers were down but that was expected due to the appalling weather conditions (took us 20 mins to get the ice off the car before we set off)!!!

Music played by all the DJs was great and the TWO TONES (Tony Mundey and Tony Brookes) played some quality sounds!

Well done Dennis and Joe for this great little gem of a venue x :thumbup:

Joe & I, and all concerned at the Rhythm Shack, would like to thank everybody who turned up for what was a great night with a brilliant atmosphere and superb records played throughout. The best, coming from our Guest DJ Kev Kus, who wowed us with his uniquely styled set, mixing R&B with his slant on uptempo doowop which works so well. One only had to look at the dance floor to understand how receptive we all were to his selections.
Hope everybody got home safe and sound, especially our friends who travelled so far on such a busy weekend with so much on elsewhere, and further hope to see you all again in June, when we have the Lincoln Imps (Martin Greene & Trevor Quincey) returning as our Guest DJs from their crackin' appearance last year.
