Getting Together presents our Xmas Soul Party.
Saturday December 10th, 7.30pm - 11.30pm, admission free!
The Grain Barge, Mardyke Wharf, Hotwell Road, Bristol, BS8 4RU
For our only gig of 2011 we will be holding a special party in a great venue very near to central Bristol. The Grain Barge is a floating pub and restaurant with a down to earth style and attitude. We will have our own room to rock, complete with portholes, bar, and all four Getting Together DJs from the last Eight years!
Admission is free... but feel free to buy us a drink if you want to!
This is a friendly intimate pub-sized venue with an excellent real ale bar at pub prices and of course a superb food menu if you fancy eating before your dancing.
Since space is limited and its a free night we recommend you get there early to guarantee admission!
We'll be spinning original soul vinyl. You'll be expected to dance!

If you stand in the middle of Hotwell Road outside the venue, and spin round slowly, it will look just like the photo below. However we suggest that you do not do this, for reasons of health and safety.

I booked our night on this boat on a whim an age ago and since then have been back to The Grain Barge a couple of times for food and a few drinks. The downstairs venue is small, intimate and has its own bar - it'll be our sound system courtesy of Rocker and tunes courtsey of Mike Shawe and Steve Harry too.
Now can't wait to welcome friends of old and hopefully some new ones too. .
This is a free event and I booked this as a private party

A big thanks to all you nice people who came to Getting Together last night. We had a crackin time and by the looks of you folks on that dancefloor you did too. We are now back on track to find a new venue and launch again in the New Year sometime. We really appreciate your support in pursuit of a good time and hope to see you again :-) Ian, Rocker, Steve.

I really enjoyed the nite. The Dj's did us proud with a good cross section of tunes.Hopefully there will be more from these boys as quality always shines through! ktf
