weather update, had a few hours of snow but just about stopped now, all main roads are fine, rain forcast for tonight to wash all this shite way, fingers crossed... Will keep folk updated on the weather..
The weather was not to bad in Manchester, had a cracking night, some top tunes in the company of good people. nice to catch up with Ady Lupton, if you have not been to this event then you should give it a try.
Glad you made it down Chris and thanks for comments...
Big thanks to all the Spanish crowd for coming over to see us, did not really get a chance to have a good chat with many, sorting out the event and stuff, also thanks to the Va Va Voom boys for making it a great night in great company.. The Jolly boys made it through the snow along with many others... Hope you all liked the cd, leave us some feedback..
Despite it being a foot deep when I left north staffs the trip was more than worth it, one of the best 'strokes' I've been to. Met lots of great new people and listened to loads of great new music. The jolly boys wil certainly be back, lots of happy punters on the bus on the way back, a classic night, roll on the next!
Absolutely gutted we missed the night but the weather beat us; missus wouldn't drive and I can't go out without having a few drinks!!!!
Hope those who did make it enjoyed themselves.
Roll on the next DS.
Atnosphere was top nothc and the mix of tunes were just superb. Spent most of my time in the main room as the Madrid boys were really doing the business! Popped into the second room to catch a bit of Jel and other people's spots.
All in all, a fantastic night. Honestly can't praise this do enough, and it seems to have a bit of momentum. Keep it up fella's; great promotion, done properly drags the best people to an event........you're proving that every time!
A couple of wants added to the list, and hopefully the odd DJ returning to the north of England later this year for our humble event in Leeds too, they were that impressive! (queue shameless plug) http://www.soul-sour...eds-empire-bar/
Would just like to thank Steve and Matt for inviting us up, I had one of the best nights out for ages, the atmosphere was fabulous, the music was a great mix of classics, rarities and styles across the board, and the venue was a great as well. Everyone was up for a great night and it really showed. All the DJs played some belting records, but as usual the Spanish Armada did the absolute business and really got the floor going. Great to see the Ripolles boys cutting a rug in both rooms too. Can't recommend the night enough - get yourselves up there for the next one!
Now thats what I call a soul night !!. Organisers .DJ's and punters alike take a bow---'twas a great cocktail of choons and atmosphere. ...think the Jolly boys were last ones out..hehehehehehehe
