Mel,

Get there early and then you won't miss any of them !!!!,,,,,,simple.

You know we are there at 6:30 and anyone is welcome to come early (nothing worst than sat in a car waiting for a venue to open.)

Just realised that 'The Boys' have done this and had a great time in carparks,,,hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha,,,ask Paul about T.O.T.S.

I'll wait for you at the Bar. (My shout)

Going to be a wonderful night with Tony Dellar, (and, of course Tina)

Old friends of O.S.C. and always appreciated by the Oxford crowd,

Roll on this Saturday,,,,

Del.

Really looking forward to Saturday night at Oxford. (Was mine and Charlie's Wedding Anniversary last Saturday, but he disappeared off to the 100 Club. Said he thought it was this Saturday and looked so innocent when he said it I nearly believed him. After all these years I should know better, so it will cost him this Saturday!

See you all on the night.

Hi Pete,

I'm sure Tezz, Richie, Charlie, Jon and Maz will have read your post and will do their utmost to accommodate you !!!!

Certainly there are a fair few in there that are Oxford favourites,

The Empress Ballroom is like walking back to the 70's, complete with mirror ball,

They only got rid of the flock wallpaper the year before last !!!!!

Wonderful sprung dance floor though.

Don't forget, If you, or anyone that is new to Oxford, come and say 'hello', always pleased to meet everyone that comes along.

Looking forward to a great night with Mr. Dellar.

No Mel I wrote, " I'll wait for you at the Bar. (My shout)"

I'll be glad to buy you a drink (or two)

Celebrating in a small way myself, mortgage paid off, so I don't owe anything to anyboby,

Well, a fair few apologies to people maybe. hahahahahahaha

The Oxford University N/S society will be in attendance (my daughter and her friends)

I aways treat them to a few rounds, so one or two for you Mel, won't make a difference,

and as it said in the courts social report "This man has no value of money, so fining him is a waste of time."

Pete,,,,,,You haven't met me yet then, God help you !!!!!

The Empress awaits,

Come on Mr. Dellar, Let's 'Do It'

Travellers from literally miles away as well as the Banbury faithful in the Dial a ride bus professionalyy driven by Nick Topsy Turvey - we laughed all the way there and back....(Nick no more handbrake turns in an automatic or scaring small vehicles out of the way next time!!!!!!!!!)

Once again another Oxford Soul Club "Cracker". Dispite the adverse weather conditions and the fact
so many soulies travelled from various parts of the country the Oxford boys just keep on going from strength to strength. Having guested there a couple of times previously the soulful momentum
is there in sheer abundance together with it`s overwelming friendly vibes!!
Many thanks for having me down for what can only be described as a "top notch night" to kick off 2012.

AMAZING TURN OUT !!!!!
Just have to agree with everything thats been said, astonishing so many soulies turned out on Saturday night,BUT,what a night, although closing an hour earlier at the request of the management.Mr Dellar turned up with all his big tunes to play, and really created a party atmosphere, that nobody was going to leave.Over a 100 through the doors (still can't believe it).with so many new faces.Big thanks to you all,and hope you all made it home safe.
Hopefully you'll all be back in June.
Thanks to all the dj's for making the evening such a success.
Once again a very big thank you, your an amazing crowd.

Sorry Mel, but it was Sunday afternoon and not enough blood in the alcoholstream !!!

And,,, I still owe you a drink, with you at the bar, and someone else got you one before I could !!!! (next Banbury, promise.)

Just like to reiterate what 's been written here,,,

T'was a GOLDEN night, something special that we at O.S.C. will forever remember with fondness,

Of all our friends (old and new) that came or tried to come,,,,

Hopefully no snow at our next in June,,,hahahahahahahahaha

Sad that the management asked us to stop early, but with hindsight they were probably right in their decision,

I think that the way the crowd was going we could have kept going all night.

Poor 'Ol Jon Bouy,,,was to do the last hour on the decks,,,only to close,,,don't worry Jon, they weren't trying to tell you something !!!

Shame really, Jon's box would have impressed the Oxford Newcomers.

Tony's set was one of the best I've heard him play,

but our strong resident DJs give any guest that extra little spur to excel, Thanks Tony and Tina for everything. XXX,,

Me (steve davies) , Yogi, lorraine and Shaun M struggled up from hemel

The M40 looked bad going south but we ploughed on (no punn intended) to oxford

great night suprised so many were there

we had 4 hours in the car back to hemel waited on m40 for 90 mins and m25 for another 60

so plenty of time to discuss what a great night we'd all had

First of all I would like to thank Nick 'Topsey Turvey' for getting us all to Oxford and back, safely in adverse driving conditions! Even though we had to adopt the 'crash position' a couple of times ....... Was quite amazed to see how many people had made such an effort to get there. Brillant.

More people came in as the night progressed, which pleased us DJ's. By the end of the night we was almost up to normal. Plenty of dancers kept the floor busy all night. Great set from the Guest DJ Tony Dellar. Well done mate. Hopefully, see a lot of you at the next Banbury Soul night on 3rd March. Special Guest DJ all the way from Bonnie Scotland Keith Money (100 Club Resident DJ).

Hi Pete,
respect your honesty, this ones always a hard one as it follows our xmas event, which is always a very special one.
Without trying to make any excuses, but i think cutting the evening short (at the managements request ) didn't help.
Ive got nothing but admiration to everyone that came on Saturday in those awful conditions.Im sorry it was not up your expectations
All of us at the Oxford soul club travel to many venues thoughout the year, and weve had our disapointments, can't really put your finger on it,just didn't happen for us,this time.but the same venue next time brilliant night.
Would be glad to hear your thoughts on "what didn't work for you" or what we could do better.
It's how Oxford soul club has progressed over the last 5years by listening to our friends and guests.
your welcome to put your comments on here or you can PM me.

Regards
Maz

Mel,
Yes You DID, in fact more than enough LoL.
Cya at next Banbury probs.
PS last one was top class.

Maz,
Probably just me but, other than Mr Dellar the sets after 9.30 seemed a little slow and disjointed but possibly that`s just my take on things.
Like you say you cant get it spot on every time.

Pete,
grateful for your comments,i'm sure between now and June (the next one)we all have a look at our playlists.and try to improve our efforts.
We do get quite a lot of requests and sometimes trying to keep everybody happy it can be difficult, with change of tempo.
If you are at the next Banbury event ,pleased to buy you a beer.
regards
Maz

Hi guys,

Yet another great night and very well supported given the weather conditions. Enjoyed all the sets and sorry Pete, I did appreciate some of the slower interjections (we're getting older don't you know) and really enjoyed the atmosphere, people and floor all up to the OSC usual high standard.

Looking forward to the next one...
Cheers
Yogi

Bit late with my post, but just like to add it was another brillant night at Oxford Soul Club. Lots of laughs on the way up and back in the mini-bus. Great driving by Nick 'Topsey Turvey' Nick. Hopefully, catch up with some of you soon at the next Banbury 3rd March.........
