Hi Headsy,
Had a couple of pints with Kev before the game, then had a few on the Quayside afterwards, hotel was only 5 mins walk which took me over two hours to get back, lets call it crying in my beer time!!
Table space sorted, be good to see you
best

As Steve Cato has given you a taster for his room, thought I should post up whats going on in the other rooms,
This event will see Sam join as a resident in the main room, Steve Thomas will only be able to do the March, July and Boxing day events, as he has a new job on the high seas cooking for Captain Pugwash.

Our residents Andy Dyson, Bob Hinsley, Soul Sam and Kev Murphy will be assisted by our guests the Chunky one from Bidds, Mace, former C.I.S resident Des Parker, Orral's Andy Garside, Nottingham's Chris King and Robbo one of Manchester's top collectors.

We will also be doing a club profile between the hours of 10 and 12, the first one being Llandudno Soul Night's Harry Pritchard, Gerry Hogan, Tom Buckley, & Ieuan Williams.

The 'Three Before One' guests are the the Mad Lads from the North East, Headsy, Gas Simon & Kev Johnson I am really looking forward to catching their spots.
Jan is all ways a little more of a different feel to other events at Radcliffe as Neil and Steve Cato have their birthday nights in room three,
Just need to tie Hoss down to get his line up for the R&B room, will post up soon as but don't hold your breath!!
As always shout out for table space

First visit to Radcliffe and by all accounts the numbers where down - i myself thought it was a good attendance.
Stayed in the main room all night as thats my thang! and i have to say every dj was top notch. mixture a popular top 500 and the rarer side of the "oldies" scene all mixed in, stirred around, and served up with relish on the side.
Top Spinner/s for me was a toss up between Mace and Andy Dyson - two top sets of tunes lads!!
Will be making the trip again for sure.

Numbers did seem to be a little down at first but when I left at 3.30 they'd certainly been bolstered by late comers. Another top night in terns of tunes in all three rooms, with quality being the order of the day. Sets of the nights for me were Mace (JT Parker) and Des ( Eddie Holman- Wanted in three states). If carlsberg did nighters, hmmmmh...........

Well that was a great night. Slightly lower than normal numbers did't affect it at all for me. Three rooms, providing a wide range and styles of tunes--helped build a great atmosphere-- and must say on more than one occasion ,I was strangely drawn into the 'Soulvation' room, to sample some of the stimulating 12 inchers on offer !

A 'healthy' record bar just added to the overall ambiance. A real 'friendly' and 'inclusive' nighter this is. In the main room it was great to hear some 'classics' cleverly programmed in with some not so well knoiwn

Yep TOP marks everybody!!

First time for me and I had a fantastic night. Very friendly crowd indeed. Some people said that numbers were down but that didn't spoil my enjoyment one bit.

Spent most of the night in the r&b room, the tunage was wonderful. All in all a great nght out.

HOT BOXER

Thanks Martin .....
We were very well behaved imho :)
Was a good night indeed, could have been a few more in but such is life and as the NEW CENTURY is a 3 roomer ,it is always gonna be the one most affected by other similar events .
Great to be able to catch up with birthday boy Stevie and the Manchester crowd ,who know how to enjoy themselves !
The funky soul room was the place to be for the best vibe of the night ,so well done to all the dj's and Steve for putting it on and persevering with it.
Not sure if it's feasible and not my place to organise the night ,but i do think these guys should be in that middle room cos they could fill it and would deffo benefit from that dark gritty atmosphere and great dance floor .

Then again ,it's a tough call cos the RnB guys also do a good job in there too .

Anyways ...we enjoyed the night and it was well worth the trip over the Pennines ,so all that is left is to say a big thanks to Chris for making sure we got from Birch to the venue in good time and also to Martyn and Lynn for the lift back...OH and Headsy and Kev J for the craic and the lift there and back to and from the N.east .
Very much appreciated indeed :)
