Burscough British Legion

Only a couple of weeks till our second great event of 2012 at Burscough Legion and what a top DJ line up once again-----shaping up to be another corker, hope you can make it along!

Looking foward to this one Brooksey, at least i won't try to set it on fire this month, mind you Its not my fault that Pete had to have so many candles.
If you have never been to Burscough give it a wirl it won't disappoint

It seems like we have come to the end of an era at Burscough Legion-----------Beryl the steward is retiring at the beginning of March so this will be her last appearance at one of our events.

This probably won't affect our events in any way but it will be a little sad to see her go----after all, who else is going to storm the stage half a dozen times a night demanding that we turn the volume down....? Ha ha, only jesting, Beryl will be missed by us all at Burscough Legion.

Wow was indeed one of those special nites, the high calibre sounds just kept on coming, takes a bit more to "get me up" nowadays but even these jaded feet couldn't withstand the charms of the Hamilton Movement "She's Gone"! Shame a few more don't come right from the start here cos the quality is set from the get-go with Mr.Brookes spinning the likes of Clydie king "Soft+Gentle Ways" just after 8! Yes an oustanding night, some mindblowing tunes heard and must mention Jimmy C who played outa his skin. But everyone seemed to raise the bar for each other and follow suit! Marvellous, can't wait for the next.

What a great night last night at Burscough Legion. Numbers were WELL up and more and more new faces appearing every month.

Dancefloor was full ALL night and I danced me little legs off (knackered today though), to the superb music that was played by all the DJs!!!

Was good to see Katie and Nigel and all the rest of our lovely soulie friends x

Glad we stayed right to the end to catch your spot Tony, it was well worth it. T'was a bit noisy though without Beryl about.

Thanks to Janet for the anniversary cake, you need a bleedin medal being married to Derek for 36 years!

Really good night, good company and decent tunes from all the dj's.

This was by far the best night I have had at Burscough, lots of people through the doors and the atmostphere was buzzin. Pete danced his little socks off which he ain't done for a while.
