The Basement Boogaloo

After far too many months of deliberating the idea of running a night like this in a city centre club type venue around Stoke, Johnny Beggs and I have just been offered the chance to promote such an event at the newly refurbished Basement Club in Marsh Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.

The venue has only just re-opened, and consists of a basement club with wooden dancefloor, great sound system, attached smoking area (roofed and heated).
Plus a fully stocked ground floor bar and chill out area......music from the decks will be piped into all areas.

The venue is ideal for our needs, and looks the absolute business.....the owners are fully on board with us pushing such an event.

It's also far enough away from the trendy nightclubs to avoid overspill from p*ssheads etc, but close enough for anyone with a genuine interest to check out the music and hopefully get bitten by the bug!

There is a large pay&display carpark just to the rear of the club off Clough Street, and for those who want to stay over The Quality Hotel is a mere few minutes walk on Trinity Street.
If coming by train, Hanley is only a few miles from Stoke Station and thus a cheap taxi fare.

So if Latin Boogaloo, Uptempo Soul with a twist of Funk, R&B and Rhythm'n'Soul are your thing......please come and check us out on our opening night on February 18th, when our guest DJ for the night will be another of Stokes own, Geese.
