 Doesn't time fly when you're having fun? This is our third anniversary and we almost forgot  .

Into 2012 with our continuing policy of bringing our supporters the best soul sounds from the 60s and 70s, and more, all only on original vinyl   . No politics, no egos, just soul, friendship and a belting night out. A few new faces last month were very pleasantly surprised. Why not see and hear for yourself?

8.00pm till 12.30am, bar till 12.00. £3.50 on the door (please note slight increase).
This month's special guest JOE LAKIN bringing top quality sounds all the way from sunny Doncaster :hatsoff2:.

Attention all: following our recent change of policy, to now support local and national charities, all takings for this event will go to the British Heart Foundation. We will be holding a special raffle, all proceeds of which will go into the fund. If anyone has anything they would like to donate, please bring it along. For anyone wishing to donate cash, a bucket will be made available.

At future events we will continue this policy. If any DJ would like to play for us, to support any particular charity, please let us know. We will cover basic expenses (eg petrol), but all takings will go to the charity on the night. The usual Horti conditions apply: we do not present a regular 'oldies' night, but a mixture of rare and underplayed soul, which may include oldies, and a whole lot more. All discs must be original vinyl. Other than that, it's down to you. Thank you all, in advance :hatsoff2:.

If the technical gremlins leave us alone, CDs will be available on the door .

As we have stated before, the generosity of Soulies is legendary. Thank you all so much, in advance. We are sure you will not be holding back.

See you there.

All the best. :hatsoff2:
Gary, John & Alan

Just noticed an error on last month's CD listing. Track 11, Where Does A Man Go To Cry should be Brook Benton, not Chuck Wright. Not sure where that came from, then again I'm not sure about very much these days - summat about being and old git!
See you all

Hi All,
Sorry I'm a little late with this, but may we express a massive, massive 'Thank you' to everyone who came to Darnall Horti last Friday and helped raise £280 for The British Heart Foundation.
Our gratitude goes out to those who donated gifts for the raffle, and to our top guest DJ, Doncaster's own Joe Lakin, who gave up his time for us and played a brilliant spot, and to the incomparable dynamic duo, Audrey and Linda, for their efforts organising the raffle tickets and prizes.
