Thanks to Dave, Dick and Jonah for asking me to do a spot for them. Had a great night, fantastic crowd in, everyone out for a good time and up for it. Heard a lot of good comments about this place and they were all right. Great venue guys, dark and dingy, perfect for a northern soul night, great atmosphere about the place, will definately be back. Thought the Robin was good but I think this might just top it for the atmosphere created. Well done, keep up the great work, see you all soon, Barry, KGB, KTF.

Hi folks,
what crackin' night again last night. Bit of a steady start, but full house again by ten'ish. Everybody played their heart out especialy this month guest Barry Holland. You played an absolute blinder Baz,
a real Northern DJ, played to the audience, played all their requests & you played proper Northern Soul. Nothing too fancy & everyone in the room loved it, the full dance floor was testament to that. Big big thankyou from Me, Dick & Jonah, nice one Barry.
Don't forget our next Civic Meeting is on Saturday the 17th of March when we're joined by special guest Paul Newton (Crofton Soul Nights, Wakefield).

A great night had by all....and the music had everyone up on their feet (from start to finish) heard some sounds that I'd never come across before, I thought the 3 dj's Woody, Dick & Jonah complemented each other in their choices of vinyl, Eula Cooper made a particular impact on me and nice to hear Mood Mosaic at the end no soul snobbery there! Barry Holland played to his usual high standards too, I eagerly await my next visit to this atmospheric club....proper northern soul well done everyone.

Best night I've had at the Civic full stop! A fantastic selection of tuneage played by all the DJ's kept the dance floor buzzing.
An electric atmosphere and friendly welcoming people, I couldn't recommend this venue more highly, always well worth a visit

Sorry i couldn't make it as i had previous plans, some what different to a soul night, i was at an evening of Arabic food, drink and belly dancing [not that would be of interest to the fellas on here lol but i have to admit the singing is somewhat of an aquired taste] the event feed back seems to be once again to the highest standard, and i shall with any luck be at the next one.

As Micky as said we're all over on Saturday, for your night at the Salford Black Lion and with the standards set so high the pressure is really on me to deliever, oh just keep calm and carry on.
