This event is now over. Look up now to read the latest reviews of this soul event

Just back from Brid and realising this will quickly be upon us.

I must say with work pressure Ive not had the time to think about promoting at the present, but when Mick pulled out and left Barry to decide what to to do I had no hesitation in stepping up to the plate to change from resident to co promoter . First move was to invite Mark to join us as a resident ,he's always been there as patron from day one (and as a superb guest on more than one occasion ), so he really is the perfect choice ,so a huge thank you to him for agreeing to join us.

Next thing >>>think of a new name??????????????

On holiday with Rob all we heard was lets have another cocktail, suddenly it dawned on me THATS IT!!we want to offer a mix of quality soul what better name SOUL COCKTAIL!!

Nowt (sic) much will change >>>there will be no stompers etc ,we will retain the emphasis on quality Soul, expect a fine blend of Crossover and 70's Soul with a dash of midtempo 60's and Modern Soul>>>tempo restrictions will be relaxed a little here and there ,we wish to retain the relaxed atmosphere of the event but with a lovely new dancefloor and open plan layout we plan to be very dancefloor friendly as well.

Dave Raistrick was happy for us to replace him with another of our regular patrons John Fisher, for this first event ,who I know will be the perfect guest >thanks to John for stepping in at short notice.

So the start of a new era for us , one we are very proud to introduce ,we sincerely wish to invite back all our fabulous existing patrons and promise a warm welcome to those about to make their first visit>

See ya there Steve

Welcome to co- promoting this night Steve, when Mick Cooper said he wanted to concentrate on his radio show it was a no brainer to have Steve on board, welcome also to Mark Whiteley who nows becomes a resident, so pleased to have someone who is so respected on the scene, also good to have John Fisher on as our first guest, John with a great collection of tunes is more than welcome and we couldn't have a better guest to kick off this new era.

This a is a perfect venue for the type of music on offer, you can chill in the comfy seats, dance in the seperate room on the wooden floor and enjoy the music with a drink from a bar that is reasonably priced, added to the fact there is a large cctv car park and a venue that is so easy to find, we are just off the A1 at the A607 junction near to Grantham.

We will be holding around 4/5 nights a year, with some great guest's, hope to see some of you there.

So looking forward to this night, playing amongst other things some classic crossover tracks along with super mid & a little up tempo sounds, and when we say modern soul classics it will not be up front soulfulhouse sounds but more the classics we know, anyone who feels they want to stay over there is a Premier Inn right across the road and other hotels & B&Bs close by...atb Barry

Thanks for all the kind words guys.

I'm really pleased to have been asked to be the first guest at this venue under it's new name.

"NFNF" was an event on the callender that I always tried to attend whenever possible, as well as being a great venue to hear a few new tunes, it was a great social venue as well.

As both Steve and Barry have indicated, they don't intend to change to much, so this should really just be a continuation af what was, an already "succesfull" and "established" night.

If you havn't been before then I'm sure you will feel at home here and have an enjoyable evening with some of the friendliest of soulies on the scene (as well as Johnny Barker lol)

Looking forward to seeing you when I git there !!

Just had a look for other venues in the area, and it seems I'm screwed.

you must've been taking lessons from my missus John, she always ends a argument by hitting me in the wallet.
