WELL WE KNEW RUNNING AN ALLNIGHTER THE NIGHT BEFORE NEW YEARS EVE WAS A GAMBLE ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE HAS BEEN SO MUCH ON BUT THE TURNOUT ALTHOUGH AS EXPECTED WAS DOWN IT WAS STILL BETTER THAN WE WERE GETTING 4 MONTHS AGO WITH SOME NEW FACES AND OLD FRIENDS TURNING UP.I MUST ADMIT I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY KNACKERED PEOPLE IN ONE ROOM HAVING OVER DONE IT OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS.BUT THERE WAS STILL ABOUT 60% OF THEM LEFT TIL THE VERY END OF A GREAT NIGHT SO A BIG THANKYOU TO ALL THE DJS AND ESPECIALLY OUR CUSTOMERS YOU WERE ALL BRILL,ALSO NICE TO SEE THE BATONS DOWN FROM OLDHAM AND THANKS FOR GIVING MICKEY FISH A LIFT HOME.HAPPY NEW YEAR AND ROLL ON 2013.

REGARDS SAM MOORE

Hi Sam, Sorry I didn't manage to get to see you before we had to leave. Thanks again for the invite it was a pleasure to be part of it again. It must be the friendliest nighter I have ever attended and your venue can only go from strength to strength. As you mentioned the numbers were slightly down but was still a great turnout considering, the current financial climate and of course the last Twisted Wheel. All credit to Mike Harvey and a few others for making the trip over after The Wheel. Look forward to seeing you all again soon.Best wishes for New Year to Chris, Martin and yourself and all the crowd at The Irish Centre. See you all soon

Regards Brian C

With other family things planned for tonight, lots of folk under the weather and even some having to work today the numbers stacked up well.

Me and the Mrs spent most of our time in the Torch Room, some wonderful music as always, the lads managed to play three records I'd never heard before.

Some great laughs with all the DJ's and can't go without a special mention to the Notts Torchettes, who as always managed to have a reet good laugh, Brigid is like a Duracell Battery, Sue Hey cracks me up with her dry sense of humour, and Olly should become a freelance photographer mind you she did become rather excited when she realised Dom Morris was standing next to her ( funny as f*ck) Chidders drinking Turpentine and Coke and having to dance with his back agen that post. Make the room a bi monthly spirit of 72, I'll be back.

Upstairs was hard work, as Sam has alluded to those who wanted to be in that room come 3pm were fooked, though Mark Freeman did as he suggested he would keep me awake, fook that boy can talk.

In me stink pit by 5-10am...great night thanks to everyone.

Ps to the fellar in trap three in the upstairs bog at approx 2am, hope your diarrhoea clears up, fucking hell you sounded like you were in agony...

1st time for me at the Irish centre what a wonderful atmospheric club must say a big thanks to Sam, Chis King, Jez and Paul Donnelly for the invite for me to play a few tunes in the torch room really enjoyed it. We arrived about 9.15 to be met with a big handshake from Sam who made us really welcome its 1st time we have spoke and hope it wont be the last. Spent the 1st hour upstairs in the main room as the torch room didn't open until 10.00 and enjoyed some early pounding sounds which carried on through most of the night. Full marks to all the djs but one mention must go to the lady who had them brilliant union jack trousers on superb they looked great under that ultra violet light.

Great to hear some of the torch classics from years ago they will never be forgot and still sound as good today as they did years ago.

Overall a great night out shame we had to leave around 2.15am as I had to be up early this morning hope to be back in the future to enjoy more of the friendly Irish Club get down there for the next one you'll love it oh and the free snap greatttttttttttttttt!
