This Sunday sees the 13th Anniversary of the Wheels Second Coming!  And the 1000's of people who have been, and still come!... Can't be wrong,... Can they?

As you may of heard there has been a fire Twisted Wheel Club @ NQ Live
I have just spoken to the owner Carl and can confirm that the fire has been confined to the upper floors and there has been some smoke damage to NQ Live
Carl has arranged extra staff to clean up the smoke damage overnight and The Wheel will be going ahead as usual
Further updates will be posted on FB and Soul Source

The building above the new home of the Twisted Wheel has been involved in a fire today, at the moment it's only smoke damage affecting NQ Live and the Wheel will be going ahead as planned tomorrow after clean up.

More updates will be posted later here and on Facebook plus the Twisted Wheel web site

Yes very sad news about the young Firefighter who sadly lost is life trying to save the building!

It goes without saying I will be having a Charity Night for his family, which I know will be well attended by all the Wheelers.

I have been down to the Alterego Club this morning and its great!! And I know that you will enjoy it, its just down the road from the Old Twisted Wheel on Whitworth Street, turn right on to Princess Street and the Club is on the right hand side.

The telephone as never stopped ringing from people from Stoke-on-Trent, Sheffield, Blackpool coming to name but a few.

Thanks Again to you all for your fantastic support of The Legendary Twisted Wheel Club!

See you at 3pm.

Pete Roberts.

Yet again adversity struck the Twisted Wheel yesterday afternoon, however that pales into insignificance when you consider that a young man lost his life, fighting that blaze.... The right decision, taking all into account I feel was made to put the Wheel on at Carl's other club "Alter Ego", a minutes silence was observed by all in respect for Stephen Hunt.
Now onto the new club...... For me quite simply it is better than NQ, I don't mean that in a disrespectful manner as NQ has it's own atmosphere, but this place is so much more like Whitworth Street in all the right ways. The arches are there, the bricks are there, that almost seedy like atmosphere of the great 6T's club is there, this place is special and if and when the move has to be made permanent (which is looking likely, due to the damage to NQ), I would say this place would be nigh on impossible to replicate, mainly due to it's Whitworth St. likeness.
A great afternoon was had by all in both rooms, the place was heaving. Congratulations and thanks to Carl and all his staff, Pete Roberts of course, and all who made this afternoon possible.......

Thanks very much for that Mike.

And could I also add a MASSIVE THANK YOU!  to you all for you attendance yesterday with just a couple of hours notice!.... Unbelievable over 300 people in the New Club and just think how many would have been in the Club if people would have known where it was?.... Not everybody has a PC and people were unsure what was happening due to the fire at NQ Live on Tib Street where sadly the poor fireman tragically lost his life in the fire.

I WILL BE HAVING A CHARITY DAY ON SUNDAY 28th OF JULY AT THE NEW CLUB WITH ALL THE MONEY GOING TO HIS FAMILY.  ALL THE DJ's ON THE DAY WILL BE OFFERING THEIR SERVICES FOR FREE.

A BIG THANKS, most go to Carl & Sue and all the Bar Staff and not forgetting the excellent Wheel DJs.

DUE TO THE FIRE THIS WILL BE THE NEW TWISTED WHEEL CLUB!  FROM NOW ON!

PLEASE NOTE - THERE IS A CHANGE TO OUR WHEEL SESSIONS FROM NOW ON! WE WILL BE DOING TWO SUNDAY AFTERNOON SESSIONS AND NO FRIDAY NIGHTS! THE ONLY FRIDAY NIGHT THAT WE WILL BE HOLDING IS ON 30th AUGUST FOR OUR BIG 50th WHEEL ANNIVERSARY 9PM TILL 4AM.

THE TWO SUNDAY AFTERNOON SESSIONS WILL BE THE 2ND SUNDAY OF THE MONTH AND THE LAST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH.

THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR FANTASTIC SUPPORT OF THE LEGENDARY TWISTED WHEEL CLUB!

BEST REGARDS

Pete Roberts.
