After his fabulous NYE spot in the Smoke we have added Mick H to the roster for sound musical reasons and to ward off any Alex McLeish depression. London Irish New Breeder Niamh Lynch will be socking it to the influx of party revellers expected mid-nighter. It's gonna be grooovy!

I just sent this out to the mailing list

Fellow 6TSers,

After 3 years it has finally dawned on me that hardly anyone gets to the club before 11pm and indeed many are in the Blue Posts round the back until 11pm. So rather than having staff stood about for an hour doing nowt and me tiring out Trickster before showtime, it makes sense to put the opening hour back to 11pm. We will do this for all future all nighters except the September anniversary. Apologies if you were one of the very few who got there early.

Also Butch has had an offer from the Far East (not Dagenham) that he can't refuse so has had to miss this one but guarantees he will be down for the Feb 16th date. We have added Yann Vatiste to the line up which includes Mick H, Joel Maslin, Niamh Lynch and myself and will be adding one more by Friday.

Don't forget there is no admission after 3am.

I look forward to seeing your dancing feet down that hallowed Oxford St staircase.

Ady

:( Don't do it Ady! Can't beat getting there early doors before it fills up IMO. You don't want people getting waylaid at any "warm-up" events now do ya?

Just checked my mail and nothing from you yet............is this new start time in effect on Saturday?

Yep Kev, sorry'bout that, you are one of the ten who get their early. There'll still be plenty of space at 11 and you'll get an extra couple of pints in at Blue Posts prices.

I'm mid way through my mail-out it takes a day to do it!

Would you put a sandwich board on with the new times and walk up and down Oxford St so everybody knows please?

:D So you've heard I'm looking for employment! I take it that'll be a club sandwich board?

....Nah, but I might suggest a "last orders before the 100 Club" bell, in the Blue posts.

None other than the aforementioned John Weston with his redoubtable collection and innate sense of good taste, has been added to our illustrious bill.

In the words of Plato; "It's better to have him on the inside pissing out than the outside pissing in."

Good call, Johnny did a great set at the last Lifeline 'nighter.

In the words of Virgil, "Thunderbirds are go."

I am really gutted that I cant make it down to the 100 Club tonight (I have work commitments on call) as the line up looks brilliant especially now with my old pal Mr Weston added it is the icing on the cake of a very impressive line up.

It will be interesting to see how the new start time goes as it would be nice if it is busy at 11:00 all the way through the night which makes for a better night.

Hope you all have a ball,

See you down the big smoke soon.

Keith

I am wondering what type of fancy dress John is going to wear tonight?

Can't wait for a great night at the 100

See you all later

Excellent night, music was spot on I enjoyed the r&b spot, full floor till the end. As quoted above by many young faces nice to bump into the Wigan crowd, and many more SS faces too many to mention, I think the seating area around the bar was much better little bit more dance floor. Thanks Ady and Co for a good night. Cheers Billy

I was so fearful of this one I even considered calling it off. I'm so glad I didn't. It must have been post Xmas blues (as opposed to Cambridge blues), but I thought with everyone out at Va Va Voom 12 nights previously, Alan H's big bash down the road, December had been an early turkey, and an economic reccession, we'd be 3/4 empty.

Somehow a bunch of great individuals got together through a love of rare soul music and dancing and made it a really great night. As I mentioned on another thread all the DJs stayed on enjoying themselves right to 6am and we had to push 'erm out then.

Thanks to all who made it (you reaffirmed my love for the club), the DJs who kept it buzzing, and special mention to Rolly who had 1 minute's notice that she was depping for Sharon who had the flu.
