Hi People, Many many thanks to one and all for makining saturday nite a great success, Stunning,

Have to say the dance floor reaction to the tunes i chose out of my box for my 1 hour set

was "remarkable" (for the Mill Rd Club) and i came off the decks a very happy man, so a big thank you

to one and all all who got up and danced (and most of them for the full hour) you know who you are.It certainly restored

my faith in human nature after going through a stage of thinking of packing it all in, after all it has to be said

All records were modern once, and any record you have ever heard for the first time be it 60's 70's 80's etc

was new to you at that time, after all no matter what year it is from it is all "soul music" Thanks once again and could i take this

opertunity to wish you ALL a verry "Happy New Year!" Rick

This is for Rick,  I went to the Alldayer on Saturday 28th and loved your set (although ashamed to say I didn't actually dance but my foot was tapping like a mad thing and I was itching to do so).

Would very much appreciate it you could let me know the 12inch tracks you played particularly the one which kept referring to 1961....sorry but I just couldnt catch the name of the track when you announced it.

Will definitely get up on the floor next time I am visiting Scunthorpe Mill Road if that any incentive for you.

Cheers.

Hi Behab, Glad you liked my set, don't get that much these days as most people seem to have a downer on my Modern stuff, I have never stoped buying, just like to find good music and playing it lol.

The track you want is  Gregory Porter - 1960 WHAT (EXPANSION RECORD LABEL) The mix i played was the opolopo kick & bass rerub

originaly on a jazz cd by Gregory Porter (original version), then on a remix cd (Opolopo re-mixed) then a ltd edition independent record store day release (april 2012) which sold out in days, then re released again due to public demand for it (on expansion once again), personaly i love all the versions of the song as i do like soulful jazz, the lyrics on the song are vey poignant as they are all about events which actualy occured, but this mix is the dance floor friendly verion, good look in your search, will play it again for you next time, Rick
