Managed to get £19 rooms again at the Premier Inn. Short work for a Wetherspoons breakfast for £4 and the weekend looks like superb value. Add in the particular brand of music played at BMLRSC and you've got a real bargain.

Just a couple of weeks to go, loads of snow forecast for the coming weekend, but all should be good and roads clear again for the 9th.

I'll have details of our charity all dayer coming up later in the year. Please dont let anyone entice the Reindeers onto the Bouncy Castles lol

Here's directions from the M62 - M606, follow these and you'll find it dead easy!

At the end of the M606, take the Ring Road East, turn Left and go past McDonalds

You will then pass Yorkshire Building Society, continue straight forward over the next roundabout, go past Asda & The Cross Keys Pub all on your left

...

At the next Roundabout take the first left A650 (City Centre)

Go past The Gallopers Pub on your left to roundabout and take the second exit, (this is where you would have turned left for the old EBUC venue)

Continue on the main road (Wakefield Rd) to the next roundabout and take the first exit onto Prospect Street, straight over the mini roundabout onto Mill Lane, the pub can be found on your right just before the railway bridge on the top right of the pic in red circle.

Its about 2 or 3 minutes from the old EBUC venue but more isolated as its on the edge of an industrial estate.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Here are the directions for anyone attending via M606 / Manchester Road entrance...This is the most direct way to approach the venue.

At the end of M606, from the roundabout take the third turning onto MAYO Avenue, get into the right hand lane and stay in it.

Morrisons and Matalan are on your left, at the traffic lights turn right into Manchester Road / Bradford centre A641

Keep in right hand lane and go through 6 pedestrian crossings. Continue past Lidl supermarket on left and Station Hotel Pub.

There is a large Van Hire Company on your right and a small sign that says 'Local Access' Turn right here into Mill Lane.

Continue over the mini roundabout and under the railway bridge. Look out for the vintage car on the roof of the pub on the left

The Mill Lane Pub is on your left

Paul

Well after visiting parts of Yorkshire unknown in both directions due to the M62 been closed it was all worth while to attend such a great night. From Paul's early set all the way to Rich's last spot it was quality all the way with a great mix of tunes that I had me all giddy time after time.Thought numbers might have been down as there was a few regulars not in attendance due to various reasons but thought numbers were up with standing room only at times, plenty of new faces in which is always a good thing & from what I could see they seemed to be having as good a time as me.April can't come quick enough to do it all again with the added bonus that Paul's letting me loose behind the decks to spin a few.

Cheers

Another amazing night for me at Bradford.

I expected a slighty lower attendance because of clashes etc but was I wrong!...

like Martyn said earlier it was standing room only at times.

Many used the other bar / lounge for a catch up etc record sales / swaps.

The main record sales area looked like there were lots good healthy sales going on.

Where else at a soul night do you still have a full dance floor at 2.40 am?? A few regulars were absent with hols and other things, yet, it was so good to see lots of happy smiling new attendees, hope you enjoyed what you heard etc.

Now for the music, plenty of quality tunes, a wonderful collection of original vinyl under one roof. Soul fans had travelled from all over the place, some people I hadn't seen for ages. Good laughs!

The DJs all brought a balance of class to the venue, 70s Crossover, a few 80s, lots of 60s dancers, popcorn, rarer end Motown releases

Play list later.....

Thank you to each and every one who attended the event, you are all stars!

Were back in April with another amazing line up, put the 13th April in your Diary

thanks again, Paul

Wow! well that was a good night wasn't it!!!!

Didn't expect that with so many other things on the same night, but flipping eck, it was one of the best nights for me, both musically & socially, which is saying something, as I've had many brilliant nights down there before.

All the guest's played a superb variety which kept me running to the floor

There's one record, that is bugging the life out of me, as I know it, but haven't heard it for years, and can't think who sings it, or what it's called. Girly moment coming up  but it goes "I've been in love with you for such a long time, but you don't realise" la la la la la something something :D "my friends keep telling me to walk up to you, and tell you what's on my mind" Think it was either Ged or Steve who played it so please put this thicky out of her misery & let me know what it was.

Well done Paul on a fantastic night :hatsoff2:

Ali xx

P.S. Bill, it was lovely to see soooooo many of the Lancashire Fusiliers in attendance. Will get the Yorkshire Regiment over to 45 Revs in the not so distant future
