K6_TY47YS3x.png

Crossfire started back in 2001 bringing together all the different elements of the London 60s scene for a big night of pure vintage underground partying. This 1000 capacity venue in the heart of Central London home to Le Beat Bespoké, Nutty New Year/Va Va Voom and New Untouchables live promotions has three rooms of action with an all night bar!

NORTHERN SOUL music has reached a whole new audience through the film ‘Soul Boy’ and you can emulate those dance moves on the huge wooden dance floor in our fabulous Ballroom to a soundtrack of the best Northern Soul oldies in the true all-nighter tradition from historic venues of the past. Hosted by Kent Records and 6TS promoter and DJ Ady Croasdell, expect to hear top jocks from the past and present including Sean Chapman (Kings Hall), Derek Mead (Bisley), Chris Dale (Scenesville) and Roger Stewart (100 Club) joining Harboro Horace playing the best Northern Soul classics

The R&B ROOM is hosted by London promoters the New Untouchables with authentic Rhythm and Blues, Ska/Reggae and Club Soul on the menu from resident DJ Rob Bailey and special guests from top European R&B club joints including Alberto Valle (Le Clean Cut-Barcelona), Roger Banks, Mr Mojo (Jester Wild Show) and Bill Kealy (For dancers Also-Ireland)

The BEAT BASEMENT is hosted by the successful Mousetrap all-nighters in Finsbury Park. Live music from JACCO GARDNER & THE BEATROOTS + Resident DJ Dr Robert (Le Beat Bespoke) and international guests spin the primest 60’s Beat, Garage, Psych committed to vinyl. Expect maximum fun, gorgeous go-go girls to a backdrop of kaleidoscopic visuals.

Having been critical of the last Crossfire event and just to re-dress the balance. Ady and the crew got this one spot on imo. A cracking night in the main room of true Northern classics, top music from all the DJ`s, great atmosphere and well run security... Crossfire back at its best.

Thanks Pete, we put a rocket up security to get it back to the previous standard which they did. No problems with the sound this time. It was standard oldies as opposed to London Oldies (which gives the DJs a little more scope and a slightly different angle)) and the DJs certainly did what it says on the tin.

The crowd was just about the perfect size for the venue and the other rooms were all buzzing too. My only criticism was the sound in the R&B room, it's always way too loud and distorted; is it a congenital R&B disease or justat that venue? It was sweet for Bill Bush to get to see his record danced too, he's a lovely geezer, thanks to Martin and Caroline Gavin for that.
