We also liked the first one and great to see it back. Will be fantastic to see our old friend (and one of the gentlemen of the scene) Al Taylor behind the decks again. Can't wait.

A good night - a few less in than the previous months but many new faces. The music was excellent, with Mick H and Al Taylor providing 2 hours of classic Northern Soul and reminding us that, in the early days, we didn't know every record that was played but we soon learned to appreciate good music and if it had the right beat, then we danced to it! Mort provided an hour of better known tunes and Chris started the evening with a good mix of those we know, those we think we do and those definitely new to us! His last hour started with Cleethorpes classics which we don't hear in many places and which always tugs at my heart strings as those memories start flooding back! Join us next month when Glyn Sissons and Rob Smith will be guest DJs.

Excellent nigt at the Hollingwood last night. Thought the night epitomised all we are trying to do at the Hollingwood. The sets from Mick H and Al taylor reminded you of what the scene should be like. Some we knew, some we thought we knew and others that we'd like to know. You cannot deny the beat though and you recognise it straight away. Back in the day you didnt leave because you didnt like a tune or two, that is what it was all about, learning and appreciating the djs with the guts to play something new. Rob Smith and Glyn Sissons next month. Get digging lads.
