Well that's the bank holiday weekend over but the good news is that means it's only 5 days to The Orrell All-Dayer one of the best in the North west for Quality Soul. If you've not tried this event yet then get yourself along on Saturday I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Looking forward to Saturday, the 'usual suspects' will be there with a few sarnies (short of a picnic).

Will be watching the National in the other bar but only the last few minutes, so wont miss too much.

Always a top day/night at Orrel, and we will be able to stay later as there isn't anything clashing, Woo Hoo.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and supported us yesterday, Numbers were down as we knew they would be but the people who did attend got a real treat not a bad set all day, absolutley the finest quality soul all day. Massive thanks to all the DJ's, pete Best, Ricey, Col Kidson, Phil Richards, Lou & Woody, Paul Shirley, Ted Massey, Tony Clark & Mick Moylan. And could have carried on for another 12 hours with all the other quality DJ's who attended. Also can I thank all those who contributed to the buffet this has become a regular part of our All-Dayer and seems to go down well so a big thank you to Sandra, Donna, Jill, Alan. And finally Thank you to the hostess with the mostest Tre & Marcelle for all the hard work they put in before, during and after. Now where's my Breakfast you two. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well after an eventful journey we finally arrived at the Orrell much later than anticipated, however in enough time to say a few 'hellos', grab a pint and play my set. Some venues take a little time to warm up and for the first few hours it was bloody cold.In fact I played the 'National' spot in my coat and must admit if I had had a pair of gloves I would have put those on as well! Bloody weather! In terms of punters, it was a little slow to take off but as the afternoon and early evening moved on the numbers improved considerably, as did the heating.

The Orrell itself is a fantastic venue for any kind of soul event.Large spacious room with a dancefloor to die for.Nice sound system too.Lots of peeps there from the West Midlands, not surprising as most of the djs were from there.Absolutely enjoyed it and had a good laugh. Many thanks to Andy for asking us up.Thanks to those who contributed to providing a really nice buffet which was appreciated by all of us especially Ted and Woody who devoured the pork pies. Nice spots from all the djs.If you haven't been to the Orrell before, get up there and support Andy, you won't be disappointed.
