Apologies.......just re-did the fonts.

Tickets are moving quickly and we are trying to get a third venue together for this irresistable weekend location.

great opportunity for an inexpensive weekender in the Met Ballroom as an alternative to address the disappointment for those who have missed out on the sold out Pavilion with all proceeds going to NSPCC

I am looking forward to sharing this Weekend with the Whitby spinners. I used to come to Whitby in the 7ts to soul nights in the basement of that big hotel on the corner, enjoyed it then. The only problem was the coach ride home and the calls of nature.

a bit hazy for me..it was a long time ago but used to go to a 'night club' at rear of The Royal, it had a separate entrance from the side street. Then again, the Met bar used to be part of the former Metropole Hotel (also on a corner) and had its own venue. As I said all at bit hazy but I'm sure the guys and gals from Whitby Soul Club will know the history.

The venue was called The White Horse originally then it's name was changed to the Big Bamboo.

It was an offshoot of The Royal Hotel.

What a great venue.... a perfectly formed Victorian ball room . Caught great sets from Dennis Bradbury and Sam Evans and big thanks to everyone who came over on Saturday night - what a great, responsive and appreciative  crowd you were and was a pleasure to be behind the decks  .Only sorry we couldn't have spent longer at The Met and hope it can be incorporated into next years weekender .Top marks to everybody .

Andy What a brilliant idea with a really deserving charity benefitting. How much did you raise for the NSPCC?

The soul fraternity always appear extremely supportive of charities; Long may it continue, respect to all

Hi Chris, no credit to me, like others I did a dj spot with the excellent organisation and initiative down to Goldsoul and Snowy who take the protection of children very seriously, hence the NSPCC , with the promoters working with charities throughout the year, not just on one event. Glad you enjoyed and supported this event. With that in mind hope to see you at the York Charity all dayer on Saturday 24th August .
