It is Sad news Karen, But I know we'll be up for It one last time at the mill, It's been great over the last six years with us meeting some great Soulies that we now call friends and of course making money for local charity's. The cd we have done to celebrate our time at the mill is a corker, with twenty seven tracks picked by twenty seven Dj's who have at some time or other played at the mill. We will look to the future with fond memories but must now look for a suitable venue.( we won't rush) Getting back to the alldayer ,top Dj's and good mates Roman, Kev Sowerby, Macky, Dave Haizelden, and for the first time Glynn Hanford playing a collecter's Spot in afternoon with his mega money monster's, I wish ! Danny, Carol, Myself and Willie Windle will make up the number. So come and help us Celebrate one last time. Yours Faithfully, Rod Clegg x

I am looking forward to this event soooo much, but equally dreading it. The last night at the Mill...my favourite place, it has been a great 6 years with thousands raised for charity & many happy memories.

Hopefully the spirit of the Mill will continue in a new venue but before that I am going to make the most of August 25th.

As it is the last event at this venue, the owners have given us an extra hour on the bar, so we will be playing great music until 2am.

We also now have another DJ in the line up, BBC Radio Lancashire's  Keith Fletcher is coming along to do a tea time spot.

See you there,

Carol

"FANTASTIC"  Didn't think I would say the Mill couldn't get any better because you know what your  going to get, great people, great venue, great music, & great DJ's which creates a fantastic atmosphere.

This one was, however the best ever..... Don't know if this was because it was the last Mill @ Croston and everyone was up for it.

Everyone I spoke to were having such a fantastic time and didn't want the night to end, but they say all good things must come to an end and this one certainly went out with a bang.

Thanks Danny, Rod & Carol for making the Mill such a special venue over the last 6 years........

Willie & Sue.

Well I've just about recovered enough to come & write on here, there is not a lot I can add to what has already been said, but I want to say a big thank you from me to everyone that came on Sunday, the day was very special & I did get a bit over-emotional at times (thanks for that Danny Clegg)!!!

There was a great selection of music on Sunday, and people from all over the country, the DJs just about kept the floor full, which wasn't easy in a room that was as hot & humid as a sauna!!!

Enjoyed the day but found it hard when doing my spot, not just because I had to wrestle Willie Windle for the mic & the decks, but because I didn't realise how upset I was going to be, I couldn't really speak but I did want to say a big thank you to Danny & Rod for involving me in this venue, & thank all the friends I have made at the Mill over the years for supporting us, you know who you are.

Well that is my last ever post for Soulchoons@theMill but......................watch this space!!!
