This event is now over. Look up now to read the latest reviews of this soul event

It will be nice to see a fellow Lancashire lad behind the decks! Especially one with such an awesome DJ box that Dave takes up and down the country to entertain soul folk with.

Daves third Visit to Sweetsoul a fine man and all round good egg,Who has appeared at venues up down and east to west,

Has never failed to play a bad set and some of the best tunes I have bought is down to Mr Rimmers knowledge and presence of mind to play some of the best tunes around.

a man who loves his 6ts sounds

another two reasons are Its Claire Johnson Birthday

AND TIS Jill And Pete Cannons 33rd Wedding Anniversary two of the people who have supported SWEETSOUL throughout our 18 years in existence, PS September is Anniversary night and we will be supporting a local child who needs support in her fight against a serious illness .

We call our Anniversary Night "The Michelle Jackson Charity Night" in remembrance of the lady who assisted us in creating Sweetsoul at the Robin Hood and who left our lives a little short of happiness when she passed away.

see you all in Sweetsoul land

MM according to rumour Mr Rimmer will be making no mistakes like playing the Slip mat, taking off the record in Play, spinning the cover and putting the record back in the box, wrong speed, wrong record side, and anything else he can cock up. Honest Injun ,bought bacon and eggs for his brekkie

see you at the longest running soul night around the area SWEETSOUL for the dancers on a Fri Night

Well I have to say it just don't get better than that, if carlsberg did soul nights it would surely do Sweet Soul.

Dave Rimmer, how do you start to eulogise about this man.

A gentleman, a scholar and an all round good egg.

He was there at the beginning and he was still there when the lights went on.

All you wanna be travelling salesman, sorry DJ's take note, if you want respect you have to earn it.

Dave gets respect from me as with Dave Evison and other allnighter DJ's who have been there since the beginning, play upfront allnighter sounds as well as mixing in underplayed and well known classics.

The look on dave's face when he climbed into the back of the van with all the equipment and record boxes was a joy to behold, he looked 18 again.

Been away from the allnighter scene for 2 years now, but the Rugby allnighter in November looks like being my come back.

Well done all at Sweet Soul who work so hard to keep the upfront Soul scene alive in Newark.
