The usual round of applause goes out to each and every one of you who was part of the very special fund raising all-dayer at Mill Lane, Bradford.

The DJs, dancers, staff etc all contributed to making it a great day out for everyone. The weather was kind to us, the bouncy castle and food stall did well, quite a few nice records for sale.

Some people travelled for miles  to be a part of the day and a nice amount of money was raised to help the chosen charity.
Thanks for your generosity whether you donated a couple of quid or one of the raffle prizes.
The volunteers from Allerton Cat Rescue do a great job raising much needed funds to assist with the valuable work they do in the Bradford area.

It was so good to catch up with people I hadn't seen for a while also to meet some people who hadn't attended before.

We had a few hiccups with slight delays and having to re-scheduling time slots, DJs getting lost en route but we got there in the end...Have you ever wished you had Psychokinetic powers, well I really wanted them yesterday, just a few minutes would have been enough ....lol

Rumours are unconfirmed at this moment that a cross dresser was last seen clambering over the scrap yard wall clutching a vintage Philips cassette recorder and a bag of newly recorded C60 tapes, he had been seen on the roof of the function room lowering his microphone toward an open window to record the fantastic tunes played all day!

Oh....we did have fun (again!)  lol

Thanks everyone for mucking in and helping out!

More later....plus a few early doors and late spins

Just a foot note... a special mention to Tom & Wendy (the landlords of The Mill Lane) Two of the most genuine people on the soul scene, one of the friendliest venues around, cheap drinks and a right good laugh!

Always a warm welcome, call in and have a drink...
