Leeds Central Bank Holiday Alldayer - Ian Dewhirst Details

Well! We've REALLY pulled the stops out this time!

NOT ONLY are we giving you an extra hour for the Bank Holiday special, we have also managed to find one of the missing pieces of the jigsaw that was the Central in the 70s, one of the the original and most renowned DJ/Producer/Label owner in the UK if not the world,

The one and only

IAN DEWHIRST

Ian will be returning to his spiritual home to play a set of Monster Northern Soul classics as only he knows how.

Make sure you don't miss this returning of the prodigal son.

Also on the day spinning the tunes will be the ALL ORIGINAL LEEDS CENTRAL SPINNERS;

Paul Rowan

Fred Ward

Swish

Tony Jackson

Chris Mallows

Mike Eastwood

Keith Atkinson

Steve Luigi

All on a mission of giving the 'Leeds Centralites' what they want, a jolly good time as standard.

So! let's weigh it up then.

One of the best known DJs in the country!

9 Original Leeds Central Spinners!

8 hours of solid Northern Soul and Motown Classics!

A venue that oozes atmosphere!

Bank Holiday Sunday (no work next day for most)!

All sounds good to me!

What do you think?

1pm-9pm - £7 on the door on the day - Over 18s only.

Security staff reserve the right to search bags on entry

 Hi Steve,

Do i detect an increase in the admission price just becuase you are giving us an extra time!. Talk about leopards not changing their spots. What next.... a 12 midday start and £9 admission?????

Also the cost of Mr Dewhirst coming from London as well as Mr Rowan from daan sarth, + 1 hour extra. Still works out at less than £1 per hour when most other alldayers are charging £10+. Still a good deal at £7 Roy.

STEVE,

Could not agree more with you regarding the good deal aspect in respect of what the Central has to offer. Be nice to see mr Dewhirst there again although not too sure that Mr Rowan justifies the increase in admission.........mind you if he has lost his voice it might just be worth a tenner in... lol.

Sammy's right, Swish is one of THE originals and always plays a good set. But everyone has a right to their own likes and dislikes.

Unfortunately the Northern Scene has be infiltrated by Johnny come lately

Swish has been on the scene a long time TOP MAN

Sorry Sammy,

Before you ask, as am from Derby, went to Leeds Central sporadically over a number of years, normally depended upon who I was going out with or knocking about with.

Good mate was Tommo, as for the girls, changed  frequently,

Another great day at the central brilliant music, lovely people new and old long may it continue.

Only blip i could see was one or two spilt drinks on the dance floor from one or two over zelous newbies which the staff cleaned up quickly. I know some upset by this but guess we should embrace some new young faces and make them feel welcome.

Have to start getting ready now to do it all again today at kellingley for their charity soul all dayer should be another great day.

Thanks for all of your fab comments, the central really does go from strength to strength, every time I think the best yet, and every time the next is even better. So proud to see it buzzing and so proud that all the hard work has been 1.000.000% worth while.

As for as the new couple that spilt drinks go, they have been duly reprimanded and disposed of. Tonight they sleep with the fishes! :-)
Thanks again everyone

Once again had a fantastic day, What made it for me was people who turned up who i haven't seen for years.Namely Matchy who in my opinion is still a brilliant dancer."Waggy"and the crowd from Doncaster. The Lads who used to go to the Twisted Wheel from the beginning. The Wakefield crew, the

crowd from Barnsley, plus all the regulars.A great atmosphere, great music and a great crowd. looking forward to the next one

All the best Fred
