Anyone know of a decent watering hole (other than the North Sea) for partaking of 'refreshments' of the alcoholic  nature prior to the festivities ...........................ideally with real ale. :hypocrite:  :hypocrite:  :hypocrite:  near to the Spa?????

Bang opposite the Spa!!

They sell the best beer in the land - Timothy Taylors Landlord - in there!

There are a couple of good real ale pubs just 5 minutes walk away too.

The Telegraph Inn on Quay Road, The Marine Bar on North Marine Road and The Prior John on Promenade are all in CAMRA good beer guide.

Well, where to start.......too many folk to say thanks to for yet another, even better, fantastic Brid Weekender!  Suffice to say, like Padiham Pete, tickets bought and digs on standby for No. 9 in June 2015.....roll on!! ;-))  In particular, we were blown away with the music on offer by the DJs in the Soul Club room - proves how lucky the scene is to have such good venues to visit around the country and it was a privilege to be able to enjoy so many under one roof! The variety on offer across the whole of the venue is second to none and we enjoyed it right through to best final Sunday night to date (for us at least)!

In the meantime, looking forward to Scarborough for our first visit in September - hope to catch up with some of the friends we've spent this weekend with & even if it's half as well run as Brid this promises to be another regular event on our calendar of soul weekends!  See you there in 10 weeks, can't wait! Cheers ECSC, Karen & Graeme

Oh, and just have to add to the above......Martin Stanford........10/10, never fails to deliver on quality music served with an unbelievable amount of passion for what he does wherever we see him! Cheers Mr. S., hope we cross 'dance floor' paths again soon! :-) Keep on keeping on!

Got to agree with Karens comments above. Outstanding venue for a weekender. Musically, it is what it is-nothing new and no surprises. But you know that before you go. What makes it for us is the atmosphere and the people. Nice to spend time with good friends who are all up for a good time and who enjoy every single minute of it. A perfectly organised and well run event that is a credit to the people concerned.

So back next year then. Geoff and Tania.

Fantastic weekender once again!! only one complaint from me ..... the music (& atmosphere) in the modern room was that superb I didn't get to spend as much time in the other rooms as I would have liked :D Please ensure that the modern deejays throw in some tosh next year so that I can spread my love around

Well done Rob, Red Indian Rob, Pat, & your lovely other halves on another job well done :hatsoff2:

Booked my accommodation for next year

All the best

This was my first visit to Bridlington weekender, With the exception of having to suffer plastic cups, it was a good venue, can't comment on much as I only went for the Rare room and that's where I stayed for the entire time.  I had a great time in there, the music was fabulous all weekend with the exception of the 10.30 set Saturday night.  Not only was the dance-floor cleared, the room emptied!!! :(   To all the other DJ's in that room-CHEERS  had a wonderful time and wouldn't hesitate to make another visit. :)
