This event is now over. Look up now to read the latest reviews of this soul event

there is no gogo in January as its so close to new years eve thought we would give the club owners a rest this year..and our door lady nicci has college on sunday so best not wake her up with noisey gogoers at 3am..shes not a morning person  so that just means we've gotta make sure we enjoy this one more than we normally would..its gonna be along wait till febuary!

next weekend is very busy with two extra nights within an hour of Bristol but we still have 68 confirmed on FB and we normally double our 'confirmed' list on there so bring it on!

SO looking forward to this, not been back in Bristol for nearly 30 years(Papillions nightclub was a haunt). Be good to see everyone. Bringin The Drop Short (Al Shaw) with me. So the banter pot will be brimming over. Its looking like its going to a belter Saturday night.

Go-Go Children at Bristol. What an absolute fricking dream. Al Shaw and Judd, picked them up in Nuneaton and we went down to Bristol as I had been invited to play a few tunes down there by Dean Read and Nicci Bennett. Its NO understatement to say we were impressed immeasurably with the venue when we walked in. The speaker system is something that needs to be behold, its PERFECT. The crowd here are a DJ's dream, seriously. Played some tunes they knew, they didnt and some they should and EVERYONE was greatly received by the people in on the grounds that if it sounded good they liked it. The two residents know their crowd as if all their heartbeats are in tune. The guests job is to try and fit in with that, and after meeting Dean and Nicci at Cinderford I jumped at the chance to guest for them. The 400 mile round trip, with a few detours was spent mainly in the company of Al and Judd ( till he fell asleep) and was more than worth it. I am Honoured to have been asked to play at Go-Go and hope to be invited back sometime. The people who attend and promote this wonderful event should be very proud of what they have. Brilliant to see Dave Weir and a shame that Jane Duddridge couldnt make it, also Ally Barr, not seen him for a while so was good to catch up. Thankyou for the Chili con carne and watch out for parka wearing ducks driving trains. Thanks also to Pete and Cathy Lyster for the card, we had a chuckle at the photo's. I know Judd was filming a lot and said on the way down he likes to film full energetic dancefloors, and he certainly wasnt disappointed last night, I look forward to seeing those. If you're near to Bristol and havent been to Go-Go you're missing out I cant recommend this event enough.

thanx kev for your great review!  and your two brilliant sets that kept that dancefloor full..top notch

big thanx also to paul hicks who brought something a bit funkier and lesser known to the nights music

and as ever huge thanx to everyone who came and danced another top night with somewhere between 140-150 thru the doors

a little down on the last two months and to be honest was a bit better for it..we kind of expected that as we were missing a few regulars with so many things on..aswell as kings hall and oxford obviously there were two new nights in Swindon, one in reading and one in Gloucester this meant a few of our early birds were not with us so upto 10oclock it was a bit slow  but then the trickle turned into a river as all the Bristol people arrived and went straight onto the dancefloor..so pleased it was a good turn out as I knew kev was looking forward to it and I knew his tunes would go down well

thanx to jud for the video clips on you tube..check us out if you've not been and see for yourself what we are about

no gogo in January but its our 7th birthday on the first Saturday in feb with rnb123's alan handscombe who couldn't make it this year through ill health and the return of local dj andy hutchings who played the last gogo at our previous venue..between them they have some serious tunes!
