Playing Soul and R&B Eddie Wainwright Mod with a capital M, one of the coolest and dapper on the scene. He is at home on his scooter as he is behind the decks. He is resident at one of Leeds's hippest soul nights Empty Bottles which spells quality to me, the man is that cool vodka freezes when he drinks it. Rich Downs, a good mate for some years, we have DJ together at a couple different venues and double decked at one and we are still friends. He comes to the Revue with brief we give all DJ's play what you like and enjoy yourself He likes his up tempo, midtempo R&B to name three, he likes a bit of ska, but thats a different night and a different club. Graham Johnson he is a collector of R&B a quiet man in my opinion so I am looking forward to him making some noise behind those decks roll on the 7th of February

Andy,Dale,Mel & Maz

Well done boys & girls top night, great to see plenty in with a great mix of ages which I think always helps with the atmosphere

Hats off to all behind the decks some tasty tunes played, shame I missed Derek at the end as he always pulls a few gems out that be playbox.

Think going to a Saturday from now on will be a major boost & think it will quickly make it into a "must visit" night

Dale....thanks for the kind words,Lynn had a ball & just loved been out again after her enforced sabbatical, although she's a bit tired to day.........she can wash the car later :wicked:

Looking forward to April.

I am very sorry for putting you through one of best soul nights ever been involved in, No one DJ stood out they all did a stirling job, Starting  with Grahame Johnson, I found out quite a bit about him originally from Tadcaster, very apt returning to your roots but now living in Leeds, he has one great collection of original 45s.Thank you Rich Downs a black music of all gaundra collector, I am always impressed when he DJs always bringing surprises out of his record box big respect to him. Eddie Wainwright he is the complete DJ big tunes that ouses his confidence and a lovely fella. Eddie a hard act to follow but I would say he was matched by Derek Pearson with equally big sounds. What a night, for those of you that attended thank you but I am sorry you had to enjoy it, and for those didn't attend you missed a great N.Y. Rare Soul Revue Night. As Dale said it would be good to see play list

Greatly enjoyed my first time DJing at Tadcaster’s Rare Soul Revue. Many thanks for inviting me aboard chaps. It was such a change to just sit back, relax and listen to what the other DJ’s were playing. Didn’t hear a bad record all night. All in all a jolly good time was had and it was topped off  by seeing some old buddies I hadn’t seen for ages like Blake Helliwell (& Nicky), Chris Holmes and Neil Toplis.

As usual thank you to Big Mick for his exemplorary driving and to Craig Butler for the chit chat.

I knew it was gonna be a good night when Eddie Wainwright opened his set with Nat Hall on Loop. I wasn’t happy. I went straight up to the decks to complain as I was aiming to spin that....so I quickly wrote out a list of records that he wasn’t to play as I wanted to make magic with them later. Oh we did chuckle. Nice one Eddie.

I look forward to more good times in Tadcaster throughout the rest of 2014.

Derek

You were awesome Derek, I've seen you dj a few years ago you were good back then and you are getting better with age, like good red wine. In October we have a mouth watering night with Craig, Chris Holmes and Chuddy three names for the wine cellar and with you one hell of a party see you at our next one in April
