A bit of background on the Guests

CARL & MARIA THE WILLINGHAM COLLECTIVE MANCHESTER need no introduction to Tadcaster as they had there own room at the Riley Smith Hall, playing their brand of Rare soul music, I just can't wait for this opportunity to hear what they will treat us with.

TONY TAYLOR LEEDS, I hear you say WHO. Tony you will know him when you see him, he has been around the scene for years attending all the good rare soul venues buying and selling records. This is the first time I've seen Tony DJ so I think we are in for a real treat

Just a slight nudge for this night. Unfortunately we have had to change venues at very short notice as the magnets have cancelled our event. But as you see we are up and running at The Coach and Horses which is not to far away from our original venue. We welcome our great friends Carl and Maria who always turn up with something new to us all and come along with a real passion for everything they place on the deck, always a privilege to have these folks over. Our next guest TOny Taylor a regular around the Yorkshire area always with his magnificent sales boxes so a get welcome I hope for Tony. Our resi in Bradfords best Derek Pearson another who never ceases to amaze us at what he pulls out of his play box next....

I was a member of the Tadcaster soul club in 73ish, which used to be across the road from the coach and horses.  I'm trying to raise some travelling companions for a visit to either this one or the next one.  Happy memories of Tad in early seventies at the wharfedale.  Good move getting Derek as resident DJ, a very under-rated DJ with good taste across the board (but don't tell him:-)

Good Luck

Louis (Boston Spa born and Preston bred:-)

An original membership card, think the club was run by Joe Baker and Trevor "Taffy" Davies............happy days in God's County :-)

Looking forward to this tonight - just finishing sorting out mi records, eating mi tea, getting a shower, re-roofing the house and reading the bible.

Always liked Louis he's such a good judge of character that's why we get on so well. I'm glad he's my mate but don't tell him I said that.

Keep it 45.

Derek

Hi Saturday 14th June 2014 The Coach and Horses at Tadcaster, Musically awesome, I loved the venue the Management went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. The problem we had no one came in large numbers and those that did come were truly spoilt by our guest DJ's Tony Taylor from Leeds and Carl and Maria Willingham from Manchester. I think the lack people threw the door was down to other venues being on, Cleethorpes Weekender and something big was happening in Hartlepool, the warm sunny evening which was ideal for watching paint dry, oh! football was on too. I am still happy because I was doing something I enjoy. It was great to have Derek Pearson on board with his small box of big tunes, I don't know how he fits them all in, a great character on our scene
