Finally recovering from a very successful 11th anniversary.

So I thought I'd better pull my finger out and start thinking about our April event.

I've actually managed to post both flyers onto the page without the help of Owl...lol

Only 55 sleeps to go folks.

"The UK's most talked about allnighter in years" - Arnold Schwarzenegger

"Shake it Down" - Scarlet Johansson

"The Real Deal comes to Rugby" - Jeremy Paxman

"An extra special all-night extravaganza" - Fungi (Benefits Street)

These people REALLY did say this about Rugby allnighter....

That's why he said it then.

It is, after all, the world's biggest and best allnighter, the only one endorsed by totally vacuous celebrities !

Just one more quote:

"We've seen them come, and we've seen them go." - Mick Smith (World famous Mexican Bandit and Train Robber, and he sells a few records on the side)

He actually really, no REALLY, did say this as well !

Not at all. I just thought as it appears, from other allnighter adverts, to be the 'in thing', that I'd make some rather ludicrous quotes up as well.

Except Mick Smith really did say "We've seen them come and we'll see them go"

All I'll really say is that Rugby will have quality music, quality people, and a quality dancefloor and venue.

And you can quote me on that

Oops sorry, I have been away playing & having fun all weekend, so now playing catch up.

We shut the main doors at 2am (only to stop the noise spill).

If you plan to come after that, just knock the door & the doorman will point you to the side door, where you can get in all night...;-)

I realised the other day, that with the exception of the 100 Club, Rugby is the longest running allnighter in the country now.

This is no flash in the pan, take your money and run, money grabbing operation.

This is Rugby !

Thanks to Tom Page for spotting the deliberate mistake that's been on the Rugby flyers for two months & the internet for 3...*blush*

We are not planning to have bingo on the half hour avoid of DJs between 10pm and 10.30pm

John Weston & Dave Rimmer should have had 3/4 hour spots...I thank you for no one else spotting this earlier...lol

What a night! Donna and myself arrived at 8pm on the dot as we don't want to miss a minute of this fantastic nighter. There is something about rugby, the venue, the people the vibe (hard to explain but if you have been you know). Big praise for all the dj's my standouts on the night for me were Daz dakin always solid, ken aitchison inspired record choices and last but not least jumpin Joan, a real dancers set. Sian and everyone involved really do go the extra mile and have something special on their hands.

Hadn't been anywhere in ages then ended up at two venues that were both new to me last night, Rugby all-nighter being one of em. Enjoyed it!

Without just spouting even more inane b*llocks this morning than I did last night, if that's possible ... really good venue, decent crowd (all things considered i.e. that there were other things happening not a million miles away), lots of familiar and friendly faces and a bit of pretty much everything musically e.g. tried and tested alongside 'thinking man's' oldies, a handful of Cleethorpes spins which you tend  not to hear much anymore, Phil S's fine Stafford flavas, plus some pretty heavyweight rarities and unissued tackle. Heard some tremendous records last night; bit of something for everyone in the mix I thought which I guess is pretty much the required recipe in a room that size. (I'll incur her wrath for saying it no doubt, which is precisely why I don't usually, but 23 quality records in the 'right' order Joanie, as per  )

Caught up with a few people it was really good to see, not least the world renowned - well, Mansfield anyway - Mansfield trio and that really added to it for me (especially nice to see the big lad fit, well and out n about again; top man!).

Sorry we missed the last couple of sets. Had to head off around 4.30am as busy weekend with kids, visitors etc  ahead - bloody middle age!.Good night though folks and well worth the trip down. (Thanks to TnJ for the lift and laughs)

Will be back for sure

Have to say that was an all round great Saturday night! Popped in to see Len on the way and then onwards to Rugby

On arrival we were greeted by a multi-tasking Sian and was chuffed to bits to see the place really busy. Lots of laughs, fab music and like Phil said extremely serious conversations from all corners lol

Great to see the Mansfield lads, they always add so much to the night and so good to see Paul back on the dancefloor

Thoroughly enjoyed it

OMG, only just out of bed since yesterday morning!!!

I needed to get on here to do the proper thanks etc as it doesn't work properly on my phone.

So, here goes...(cheated a little as I wrote this on my phone at the end of the night when still bouncing).

Wow, we were blown away by the support we received from the old skool crowd.

Wasn't it such a good vibe?

If we thanked you all personally, we'd be bound to miss someone, so all we can do is thank you all.

It doesn't seem enough for how you made us feel last night. xx

It was what it's all about for us - a great mix of music & a brilliant crowd....

I wondered what was wrong when the lights came on, it was 6am!

Don't you just hate it when the night seems over too quickly?

Well, that's all folks - until 21st June

Still very fragile but couldn't leave it anymore.

DJs, punters, you are Rugby Soul Club and we thank you xx
