Outstanding night.  Ginger - the best set I have heard you spin for ages; a big thank you; setting the bar high and the other DJ's to follow and maintained the high standard you established.

Thanx guys

KTF

Ps. When is the next Keele allnighter?

Going to bed now to catch up on some shut eye

A powerhouse of an all nighter , the whole night went in the blink of an eye , every room packed to the rafters , total quality from every dj on the night playing to an accepting crowd of all nighter people who just danced all the way through from start to finish, in all the rooms ...  such a shame its not on again this year , it lacks nothing whatsoever in venue quality, sound , food, music, security, parking etc, ...  brilliant !

(though as a non drinker did'nt know about the licence problems downstairs ? such a shame cos some nice tunes played down there .. )

When did being into modern soul make you a third class citizen .

Put in a cafe where you couldn't Even have a beer, and reggae played in what was the modern room fkn joke and it still cost us 15pound.apart from that the music was fantastic

Whjat do you mean-"couldn`t have a beer"?Was there no bar or did you have to go into another room to get an alcoholic beverage?Haven`t been to Keele since Neil?Jackie promoted,so not sure of the layout?

You had to get the beer upstairs and drink it there, never had to do that anywhere in 36 years on tis scene

Have to agree on that as I was stopped at the top of the stairs with a full pint to be told they don't have a licence for downstairs!!!!! Also saw a few people told off by the "Stewards" for sitting on the coffee tables and the arms of the sofas while talking!!!!!! Only two gripes. :-) I really enjoyed this nighter. The modern room should of been upstairs as it is more popular than the ska room but i enjoyed it all the same. It has changed over the years but it is 2014 I suppose. I hope to be there next year.

I went to the last one and I'm presuming that is where the reggae room was and there was a bar in there

Mark. I'm with you mate. Too many rooms . No alcohol down stairs.(which doesn't actually bother me but it does plenty others ) Sat near stairs and you could hear both modern and freestyle type room together. Clothes stores at a nighter WTF. Stick to the music up stairs in the three room's. Leave down stairs as chill out like it used to be. Very disappointed Keele nighter goer from the very first one.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED THE MODERN ROOM THE MUSIC & DJ'S WERE TOP DRAW ... I WAS ALSO UPSET ABOUT  THE MODERN SOULIES THAT PAID GOOD MONEY TO GET IN AND NOT ABLE TO TAKE THERE DRINK INTO THE CAFE AREA .. SAD DAY FOR EVERYONE .

.ALSO SPOKE TO Chris Burton about this on the night and he's looking into it for the next one ..

But we dance dance dance !!!

I loved the Nighter and it is organised very well

The atmosphere was unbelievable and it was good to see some friends we have not seen for too long

Whilst I didn't see many Beer Monsters or Disco Divas it's a pity that folks who should know better insist on taking drinks on to the dance floor

I can fully understand the gripes that the modern soul lovers have but wish the dance floor and the area around it in the main hall could be declared a alcohol drink free area

Like Sam said these minor gripes didn't stop us dancing

whilst I had a good night (upstairs)  I was disappointed at 6am finish?, why/when was that changed? advertised at 9-7, then noticed tickets said 6.30 and to be told on day it was 6 am. Sympathies for  modern soul fans.. alcohol drink free areas? get into modern soul Fred ( a joke...)
