standing ovation for SAM...back doin' what he does best with A.F. in support..the dynamic duo, makin' the windsor an absolute MUST for the connoisseurs PLUS!...the ever colourful UNCLE TED, ready to "tie" us in knots with top notch tunes...and a first time out for SEAN. J&J put it all together AGAIN at the king's proving WHY this room is SO popular and why EVERYONE is lining up to do a spot here.

MAIN ROOM line-up.....speaks for itself really....IS THIS NORTHERN SOUL OR WHAT??

as CARLING would say...probably THE BEST ALL-NIGHTER IN THE WORLD!.....but we could have told them that anyway, instead i'll quote a sporting phrase....THE BLUE RIBBON EVENT of northern soul....that's not too strong a point is it?....WELL DONE KEV, totally awesome again and a massive up to SOUL SAM...THE prime example of how to survive anything through the faith and love of the music and the strength of friendship on this scene...THE KING'S HALL brings out the best in everyone!.

we had a good night last night( always do) but i have to comment on the amount of "tourist's" in attendance who have little or no comprehension of "dancefloor ettiquette" the amount of people who were mooching round the floor with drinks etc(even saw one chap try and negotiate a packed floor in full flow with a full tray of pints!).i know its busy and everyone is looking for a little space to express yourselves but a little acknowledgement when you bump or tread on someone goes along way. i know the kings hall always attracts the curious general public (although it never used to) and i am fully aware what to expect but it seemed last night was on another level. on the positive side the windsor suite was rocking.

I have to agree with mark & donna afriend of mine (a very good dancer)left at 1am due to being literaly kicked off the dance floor,i don't think she will be going back,i have sore ankles too take it as part of the experience myself, there are other niters without so called tourists!

I to left at 1,15 am ,due to tourists kicking me off the dance floor ,it's getting like a local disco at times, sad times  for genuine soulies.

Never seen the bar so busy for so long, in all the years of attending. A lot of friends were missing due to commitments and Prestatyn coming up but the place was heaving. Lots of new faces, lots of youngsters which is a good thing but lots of drunks and so called tourists! DJ announced to stay off the floor with drinks, saw a girl asked twice not to dance with a drink in her hand, a bouncer tell a lad the same all at the bar end of venue! But the topping of it all was a fight which went from one end of bar to the other with about 6 people involved. Not good

In answer to Ashley. A brief incident did occur involving a 'northern Soulie' who assaulted his friend.
Intelligence sources tell us it was over a  domestic/female issue.
2 people involved with one now banned for life from the Kings Hall and all Goldsoul promoted venues.
Security took charge of the situation within seconds.

On a positive note, another stunning night. A few curious attendees at many venues at present due to the Pharrell/Brit Awards plus the impending film.

Always difficult to spot a troublemaker, particularly in this case, when he's a well known face in the Potteries and has promoted in the area in recent times.

Everything else was totally positive in our opinion.

Have to agree with the comment made by Mark and Donna...it wasn`t the best Kings Hall I have been to... by a long way.

I am a big fan of this venue ..it is still th best BUT... when regular attendees say that it could have been better, they went home early etc... it may be best if the promotors take note.
