Chomping at the bit for this. It's been too long.

Blue Posts good and early, and the basement of Century House start to finish.

Seriously Thinking About it :) Always Enjoy the 100 Club, Even if it is Just a short Visit....I Would realy Love to Bring Sue down just to Pop in for a Few Hours, Would be Great for Sue to see some Old Faces, Sue has always had a soft spot for the 100 Club....Who knows let's see how the day turns out :) The Last time Myself & Pete Wickham paid a Flying Visit to the 100 Club, it was about 3 months ago,  I almost Wrote my car off @ Brent Cross :) Someone on the inside lane cut across Us, nearly ripped the whole of one side off my car, It was on Passenger Side, Pete was Sitting in the front of the car Thinking About the Fairies in his Private Woodland, Then BANG.... I can still remember Pete saying WHERE is This CNUT Going..... Needed Front Wing - Drivers Door - Rear Door :(

Keep @ It Jon Buck

It seemed like forever since the last 100 Club allnighter in December and obviously I wasn't the only one to feel that way. I got there about 11.15 and found myself in a queue, longest I've seen there for ages, including the anniversary nights. And when I got in the club itself there was quite a crowd already. Were they queueing before it opened? In the event I think there were more people than the last anniversary anyway. And I think even more enthusiastic. The dance floor was busy, don't think it emptied at all.

As usual Ady started the proceedings and was followed by Joel who played quite a few oldies, not the usual suspects though. In fact all the DJs kept away from the tried and trusted tunes.

Then it was Butch making a welcome return, including Good News, Salvation,The Hurting Is Over, It's All Over (Baby) and others, as usual my memory has deserted me. Kept me dancing though.

Then it was Nige Brown making his 100 Club début. He told me how excited he was to be asked, and he justified Ady's faith by doing a first set of uptempo tunes that really kept the dancers busy.

It gets a bit hazy then, I think Tomas was next, followed by Ady again and Joel. If I've got that wrong I apologise.

Butch made his second appearance, played his Chuck Jackson cover up, Hank Hodge's Eye For An Eye, Crook His Little Finger, not the usual version, and quite a few that were new to me.

Nige followed Butch and did the business again by keeping the floor busy, thanks for playing Feminine Ingenuity for me, one of my favourites. Joel followed and then Tomas again. And as normal Ady finished the night off, with the last couple he played being Walter Jackson's Uphill Climb To The Bottom and Carla Thomas's 100 Club anthem I'll Never Stop Loving You.

I had to make a quick getaway then as I needed to catch an early train home from King's Cross, so if I failed to say goodbye to any of my friends please accept my apologies. Good to see Carmen with Nige, Arthur and Maria, Mick H and Ian, John and Jennifer and Lynne, the usual 100 Club “reprobates” and loads of people I didn't recognise. But they were all having a good time which is what the night is about. I guess many must have read about it on Facebook.

As far as I could see the dance floor has been polished. Halfway through the night I had to change my shoes. The ones I'd come in seemed okay to dance in at Masters Of Soul and Soul On The Edge last week but didn't give me the slidey feel I like last night. Luckily I'd bought my normal shoes in my bag so all was well, with the exception of my legs giving out eventually. Oh the joys of getting old, lol.

There are new stainless steel toilets and wash basins, locks on the toilet doors that worked, but I think the new hand dryer in the gents is not as good as the Dyson one that was there before the refurbishment. The new one hasn't got that power. I was told the ladies was fitted out with stainless steel fittings too, which figures.

I thought last night had a really good atmosphere with a crowd that was up for it. Well done to all the DJs, you performed your tasks brilliantly. Thanks Ady and all the staff, looking good for 2014.

EXCELLENT NIGHT !

I think this was a very significant nighter at the 100club.

Young Soulies were plentiful at last nights event and the dance floor was buzzing for 8+hrs to great tunes from all the Djs.

It reminded me of the 80ts where you struggled to find a space on the floor to dance.

Security staff were very focussed from the moment you managed to get in off the street, "stand to the right !" "bags out ".

Very impressed.

Well done Ady , a great nighter.

regards Frank Norwich

p.s.

Great talking to Pete and his son from Hinkley

Cracking night I thought, and really busy. Dancers went for a bit of everything and the floor was full 90% of the night, great considering the obscurity and rarity of some of the stuff played. Great to have such an up for it crowd. I thought Nige (pleasure to meet you sir)  and Tomas both did great spots, just right for the 100 Club. Butch laid on some mega aggressive 70's sounds too which were ace, and an unissued funk soul thing that was fabulous.

Brilliant night!

Humungous. Like an anniversary except there were no free records littering the place up. All the DJs did very well but we all got lucky because that crowd was up for dancing like nobody's business. Lots of missed old faces but even more new to the scene who had a ball. Roddy met a smashing couple in the pub who decided they wanted to try Northern, Googled a few moves and practiced in their living room before coming down and thoroughly enjoying themselves. The night was buzzing from 11-6. Long live the 100 Club!
