Hi all, a reminder, if I may, that at this Friday's Horti we will be holding a raffle on Av's behalf to raise cash for Jack Kitching. If anyone has anything they'd like to bring along it would be most gratefully received. Thanks everyone. See you there.

Another outstanding night at The Horti, which just keeps on getting better and better. Standing room only by the end of the night, busy damncefloor, and an enthusiastic crowd fueled by a broad spectrum of soul from all of the Dj's. Big big thanks to the promoters for setting the standards and keeping the night fresh.

Thanks to John, Gary and Alan for the invite to spin some tunes at last nights Horti Soul Club and also hold another raffle/auction for the Jack Kitching Appeal.  I thoroughly enjoyed the full evening, so pleased after 5 years this place is getting the support it deserves.  Great residents, venue, music policy and atmosphere.  Massive thanks to everyone who brought raffle prizes, bought raffle tickets and participated in the auction.  A massive £400 was raised on the night through sales of raffle tickets, auction, guest djs (thanks Paul Newton) donating their fee and also a donation from Horti Soul Club.  Along with money raised at Horse and Groom December Chillout, £360 we now have a massive £760 to hand over to Jack’s family to help Jack with the specialist equipment he requires.  Photos to follow on here within the next couple of weeks when the money raised is handed over.

Great sets from all the djs bringing a complete across the board selection of quality tunes throughout the night.  Will post up my playlist later.

Once again thanks to Horti Soul Club for the invite and the friendship and to all who supported last night.  Special mention to the Horti Crew, Jean Bickerton and Geraldine Kitchin for selling raffle tickets and Joe Lakin for his fine auctioneering.

Av J xx

I'm not sure where to start, but last night's Horti was, undoubtedly in my view, the best yet. Thank you to everyone who has commented so far. It's not just me that thought it was an exceptional evening. What a fantastic turnout. Thank you so much to Av and Paul for playing brilliant spots. Definitely looking forward to the playlists. Thank you to all those who brought raffle prizes, assisted with the raffle (especially auction master Mr. Joe Lakin) and, of course, everyone who dug deep to generate an unbelievable amount of money to help little Jack and his family. I'm still up in the clouds somewhere (nothing new I hear?). Looking forward now to the Church House on Sunday for more superb soul sounds.
Thank you all yet again
John, Gary and Alan
