Really looking forward to having Dolly back as our guest this Saturday.

Last time he was here, he was excellent playing all the tunes that our regulars love.

Don't forget it only £4.00 admission up to 9:30.

So if you haven't tried the Northern Line yet why not give us a visit, we are sure you will enjoy it.

Hopefully some of you will be able to join us for a great night of soul music old and new.

Really looking forward to tonight, if January was any form of barometer then based on feedback, interest and numbers our new monthly format (as opposed to every other month) seems likely to be popular.

Hope to see you there.

Just a quick note to echo Moz's post.

Thank You!

As this was our first 'monthly' event we were unsure as to whether the message had gotten out...were people going to turn up...or had eveyone assumed that our next event was in March?

Thanks you to, we needen't have worried and as ever you did us proud by supporting the event, turning up earlier than normal and dancing your socks off.  Whilst a huge Thank You has to go to our regulars we were also thrilled to bits to see so many new faces (and a few faces we hadn't seen for a while).  We also owe a vote of thanks to those of you who visited us before heading off to nighters / mini-nighters.

Dolly did us all proud with a set that kept the floor full for his entire hour guest spot - it's a racing certainty that he'll be getting asked back in our line up for next year.  It was great to see so many from the Bolton area supporting both the event and Dolly.  We'll be returning the courtesy and will be heading up to the Horwich RMI in the very near future and also heading to Stoke and Sandbach on our travels.

You asked us for plenty of requests during the evening and I can only think of 2 - 3 we couldn't cater for.  Fear not...those records will be dug out for you in readiness for next time.  If we've got 'em, then we'll play 'em for you...remember this is your night, so keep asking us for the sounds that you especially want to hear and we'll try our hardest to we cater for them during the evening.

We are chuffed to bits that you enjoyed yourselves, went home happy and that you chose to support us.  Given the multitude of events last night in the North West (there were 3 in the Warrington area alone) we are extremely grateful that you chose to support The Northern Line.

We hope to see you again on 22nd March.

Chris

Hi Jez

Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it.

Our music policy when we first started was to mix classics with quite a bit of new stuff, but we found numbers were dropping off by doing this.

Our punters seemed to like mostly what they know. So we we changed our music policy to as you say "keep the buggers dancing" by playing as many requests as we can fitted in around the big classic sounds with a couple of newer things thrown in.

it appears to have worked judging by the last 3 months turnouts.

Next month we have Gigs from Chesterfield making his debut at the club so we are really looking forward to that one, hopefully Gigs will bring Carl and the gang back up with him, last time they were all here in November it was a fabulous night.

Cheers

Biff

It was a brill night, you deserve a full house every time. Started well with lots of classic Wigan tunes and stayed with uptempo tunes.

Thanks guys
