Glad you've got your digs sorted out for NYE Bridgey, fast approaching now so for those looking for accommodation check out this great little B&B, five minutes walk (or stagger, judging by previous years!) from the Legion...

Best New Years Eve DJ line up in the North West, why go anywhere else to bring in 2015? Eight hours of solid soulful sounds, quality all the way,100% original vinyl, six top DJs and all for just eight quid on the door. No ticket required....see you there.

Leftovers again John?

Right, you lot you know theres only one way to bring in the New Year properly don't you?  With a proper 'elpin' of all that's soulful and 'tis what Burscough is famed for all over the land (Well along the Leeds Liverpool Canal anyway).

We're booked in to our favourite farmhouse (though sans breakfast :( ) so we'll see you all there if you've got yer sensible 'eads on. :P

Ey up Ged, seeing as you and your good lady will be the only sober ones amongst the "Farmhouse Crew" it falls to you to chaperone the piss-pots safely back to the B&B in one piece.......Single file, high-viz vests on, no stumbling toward the canal......

Three weeks tonight and the festivities will be in full swing, momentum building for another superb New Years Eve at Burscough Legion!

Looks like it could be battle of the buffets....Cunliffes Catering Corporation vs Edges Edible Eatables.....wonder who the winner will be, could be a close thing as Mr Cunliffes chipolata takes some beating (or so we've heard) but Johnnie Edge's cream puffs were a revelation last year......

Bring it on, I say........ :D

If you like to hear quality sounds on original vinyl played through a top sound system, plus a brilliant dancefloor and a great crowd then Burscough Legion is the place for you this New Years Eve.

If not then there are plenty of other mediocre venues running on the same night, take your pick.

We'll have to keep the sound down slightly with Beryl the Peril back behind the bar tonight, don't want Mick Howard upsetting her by raising the decibels too far.

What a great night at Burscough Legion bringing in the New Year, very busy and probably the best music you will have heard anywhere in the country.

Thanks to everyone who attended, and especially to the DJs John Edge, Mick Howard, Ged Parker, Glyn Hanford and Carl & Maria Willingham for spinning the tunes, such a variety of sounds, brilliant!

A big thank you also to the catering staff Mr Ian Cunliffe & Jane and John Edge & Helen for providing a top class buffet and sharing with everyone, fantastic! :D

The sambookas seemed to go down a treat as well! We would like to wish everyone a very happy New Year and we hope to see you all at Burscough Legion in 2015, next one is Saturday 24th January so we hope you can make it along.

Tony & Lisa.
