Can't pay OTD

You may be lucky if people have spare wristbands for sale

i.e. if they booked a 1 bedroom appartment they would receive 4 bands and sell 2 off

The safest way to secure your place is to book

Many classes of rooms are very close to selling out

This is going to be be one of the best weekends of the year make sure you don't miss out

I went for two reasons, one was because my Aussie friend booked a chalet and invited us.... The second reason was the fact that Mitch Ryder was performing live. I enjoyed every minute he was on stage, a pretty historic moment I suppose. time for bed, 4 hour journey home in the morning

What a weekend it was spent nearly all of my time in the Redemption Room and what a monster has been created in the new room, im sure folks are coming to Prestatyn just for this and why not its fantastic. The spread of music right from the start is breath taking from Wigan young souls to the number one mincer and his eclectic mix. In between you hear the some of the best R&B and Northern and Rare Soul that would grace the 100 Club and Life Line at anytime. When the acts were on the Redemption use to be shut not any more it stays open right thru and was rammed both nights. Cant wait for 2016 the way its going a bigger room will be needed. c u all and more of you next year.
Big thank you to Alan Edge for his company and cooking and snoring, big thank you to Jackie Wifey Kowalewski for my prezzie and shocking me with her attire and carrying my record case downstairs more than once xx

I would like to point out the Willinghams Friday night set was at least as good as their Saturday night set. I hope Maria will list the tunes they played, it was an education and priviledge to have been in Redemption both times.

Butch's Little Caesar cover up

Mark Speakman's La Niers acetate

Carl & Maria playing The Cliffhangers

Andy Dyson' s reet aggressive New Orleans r&s cover up

Redemption room was fantastic all weekend - thought Simon Hunt played some great stuff too.

Thanks!

the complete blast!!....just buzzin' from minute 1.....a winning formula that pleases everyone as there is always something for everyone,..5 rooms from the queen vic to redemption, from lunars to the fun factory and the house of soul...music across the generations and genre's...a totally mindblowing dj list..and to cap it all....live music from true legends...as is the trademark of prestatyn.

Mitch Ryder captured the essence of the weekend, hearing the songs he made all-time classics, from the man himself....out front and outrageous at 70...the man done good!  . friday really kicked in with redemption opening up..breathtaking sets from start to finish over the weekend, including butch, sam, colin, richard and the willinghams...and the new york soul review downstairs, as the Invitations & Spellbinders gave their repetoire the treatment .

we were even blessed with lovely weather in the main, even if it was a bit windy at times. great organization from the hosts and a wonderful spirit & camaraderie from everybody who attended, lots of smiley faces!

Prestatyn REALLY is the undoubted jewel in the crown of weekenders and 2016 promises to sell out even quicker than before, with the visit of the Volcano's.

i must admit...i really enjoyed dancing, albeit in Redemption...and i paid for it after! but that's quality entertainment for ya...only 362 days to go!

Hi Spot I went last year & this year and saw nothing of the sort (certainly not this year) In the main modern room there may have been a handful of non soulies, but they were no trouble, just enjoying themselves. The Redemption Room was full of hard core rare soul folk & The House of Soul was full to the brim of Modern Soul enthusiasts. Didn't spend much time in the main room, but when I did, I didn't see any Hen or Stag do's or folk trying to pick people up. The image you have of Prestatyn sounds like what I heard of Skegness (Butlins one) & I got that information from a non soulie who I came across in my work life. Prestatyn really does have something for every soul fan & this year was one of the best ones I've ever attended Hope you & Gail are well See ya both somewhere soon Ali x

Ali, We went until it stopped a few years ago, I loved the acts and the Rare room, Modern room & the Vic but I found the Oldies crews to aggressive :boxing:  :hypo: (Still do) at times in the Main Room and had a couple of run in's as have some of my mates, ask Kit. If you spent hardly anytime in the main room, then you can't really comment and I'm afraid not every person is as nice as you. My mate said he felt intimidated in the bar area on the Saturday night last year because of pissheads etc, they weren't trying to pick up, just trying to pick a fight :boxing: , so much so he left and returned only for the Acts and went home first thing Sunday morning, his words good enough for me. I been to Butlins Weekender once and that was bad, great acts but a fight with someone being hit with a glass in the Northern Room, the entire place was open to anyone and everyone,I think Prestatyn is heading the same way, just look at the numbers, people from the Goole Area who's entire knowledge of NS is from the local Youth Club or Legion Club book these weekends for a big holiday p*ss up and I'm afraid they're not the people I want to spend time with or bump into when out, you know like the kn*bhead in the England shorts singing at the top of their voice in Spain, pity because I like JP he's a good guy but I think as long as you've paid your money Prestatyn ain't bothered, which is fine as long as you accept that, I don't so I won't be going again (Never say never). :hatsoff2:

Take care & see you somewhere,

                                                 Spot. :shades:
