Soul Nights @ Bridgwater Details

Soul Nights @ Bridgwater

Our first one of 2015, and we step into our 14th consecutive year !

Feeling blue after Xmas and New Year celebrations ? January weather getting you down ? Mid winter blues ?

Blow them all away with a fantastic mix of across the board Northern Soul played 100% on original vinyl [ only, as always ].

The long awaited return of both DJ Dean [ of Bristol's Go Go Children ] , AND of the one and only Steve Guarnori [ such a brilliant set when he last played here ].

And the S.N. @ B. ' virgin ' this time round is another big fish I've been seeking to land for a while.....big welcome to Kev Higham.

All these DJ's ' get it ' what we try and do at Soul Nights @ Bridgwater, they'll all aim to try and play at least a couple of tunes you might not have heard before, [ or maybe for many years at least ], as well as playing some of the best and most loved tunes on the planet !!

8pm till 1-00am

£6 otd

Absolutely no talc, please.

Ok Pete, but the last time I had some of that local brew was from a big plastic container whilst horse riding on the Quantock Hills mate. Still cant remember much of it.

Spot on Dean !

no deadly dull indulgent warm-ups at S.N.@ B.

Bev,

I hope so - want to keep it classy eh ?

We are in the South West remember and have to show the rest of the country !

But if you want to just gallop up on your horse and forget the carriage - well for you I'm prepared to make an exception.

Firstly I have to say how sorry we were to hear petes sad news of the loss of his brother on Saturday afternoon. We were buzzin on the way down for the first bridgy of 2015 and the news that pete was on his way to Manchester and wouldn't be with us certainly took the wind out of our sails.

Dave Weir was standing in for pete and when we got there early he was already playing tunes and did a great job through the night as did the other guests kev and steve.

but despite kev and simons BIG tunes we were still missing some of bridgys fave spins by pete not the same without you mate, also missing quite a few regulars who have been hit by the winter bugs but had loads of new faces and some very good dancers! Still busy at the end so another good night in the southwest.

so MASSIVE  thanx to cathy and all others in keeping the night on

Thanks Dean.

Very much appreciated. Well done to Cathy and the dj's and everyone involved in the night.

Jean and Andrew are very grateful for the kind comments and thoughts from everyone.

Jean is going to miss her husband and Andy his dad so much. We're all going to miss Simon so much.

Thanks to everyone on Sat night who supported us, in so many ways.
