I'm looking forward to returning to one of our local top venues which has been used as a soul venue since the early 70s

Top music, very good dance floor and run by promoters who make their passion for the music a priority rather than the profiteering there pockets make for a perfect night

You can also guarantee that Mick, Andy and Billy on the door will ensure that no Beer Monsters  or Disco Divas get in

going or staying in to wash my hair...mmmmm....difficult...  hang on, I ain't got no hair !!!  I hope me bus pass gets me over that way I could do with tapping me feet to a decent choon.  Gonna have to practice me foot tapping, not dun it for nearly 2 years. right foot, right foot, left..... left foot, left foot, right...  next.. is it foot tapping shoes by Schol, Hush Puppies or sandles... jazus my head hurts... gonna have a lie down.

Top night at Stubshaw last night. Loved the music, good mix of stuff- just as you would expect at this venue. Interesting crowd as well - from collectors to quality soul djs to us lot who go anywhere to the crowd who attend underplayed events to ( and especially to) the youngsters, who were fantastic all night. Big thank you to the promoters - a really great night..... And to Ian Cunliffe for providing us with a masterclass at 1.30 just as we were flagging.

Another very healthy attendance at stubby last nite, musicaly something for everybody as it should be.For those who aired their views on a few of the dj spots we always take everybodys opinion on board. Its very difficult to please everyone, but be assured we are trying. Many thanks to all who attended your support is greatly appreciated.

Sorry I couldn't make this - jetlagged from my flight from Italy :D - well, just knackered in general.

Great to hear it was a brilliant night as usual.

Top night with a bit of something for everyone and a bloody good atmosphere to boot.

A couple of spots that satisfied my taste in soul; Mick L played loads of torch tunes and Ian W wrapped up a great night with a series of uptempo Wigan tunes.

We left in an appropriate state on a soul event - very hot n sweaty.

Thanks to the organiser and DJ's  for a proper night out.

We will be definitely be back for the next event and recommend the venue to anyone who hasn't been before.

I've got to agree with Ian plenty of laughs and record banter.......

also the earlier post praising the younger people was spot on! they never stopped dancing they are so really into the music, well done to them

Not forgetting the special P.A. From Don Estell!!?

and a world exclusive spin by GED .....Kim Weston listen out for this it's quality..........

Hi Julian

Sorry you didn't make it, 10 cans of red bull might have held off the jetlag and you could have joined the party.

I didn't realise there was much of a time difference between the UK n Italy, perhaps its the fine Italian wine that convinced you it was jet lag
