Many thanks to Jeff and Andy for a brilliant night at the Engine Shed.  It's my fave venue - great music, lovely atmosphere and we always make new friends. Hi to Julie and co from Scarborough and Pat and group from Selby! Jeff and Andy need to be congratulated on the hard  work they have put in over the last two years to turn the Engine Shed into a really good and solid  soul venue x

Me and Pat ventured to "The Shed" last saturday full of expectation as I'd heard things were on the up there since we last went.We hadn't been since earlier in the year due to holidays etc. First thing you noticed was how much fuller the car park was. This meant more soulies present as "handbaggers" tend not to travel. Greeting us at the door was Jeff who gave us a hearty welcome. Andy was behind the decks and the dancefloor was full . More bar staff present than before so waiting time was down to a minimum. 9:30pm and Kenny Rolls takes to the stage, what follows is an hour of popular dance tunes and a few classics you dont hear every day keeping the floor busy throughout his set. Kenny is a dj who has mastered his craft and spins his sounds with enthusiasm, top stuff indeed.

Next up was without doubt one of the countries best "jocks" Mr Carl Fortnum. His set was a mixture of rare and classic northern. A couple of my faves, Sam Dees and Ronnie McNeir kept the floor busy. A true master of his ability and a gent too....

11:30 Jeff took to the decks, classic northern, great

12:30 back to Andy for the rest of the night, we left about 1am. thinking, what a great night, what a great club.Congratulations lads, your hard works certainly paying off.

Heres to the next one...

dave & pat
