Lovely venue, rooms available, I put £50 per double inc. full English on flyer, quote soul and its £45. other djs Roman, Lodgy, Des Jones, Robbie E. Last one of the year here so 7ts and crossover anthems  and twist of modern as required.

really looking forward to this.  great venue . great people . great music.  hooking up with the groovylicious gang at the leafy Fairways lodge .  £45 a room for two souls with breakfast . Get on it.  moving over a few yards from the dance floor to the decks . too many artists to mention but music from some of the clubs that stand out for me over the years - in manchester-  Sandpipers- Berlin - Gallery -  Ritz - Legend - Parkers.  a little bit further afield . Wigan Casino - Stafford [ top of the world] - Rotheram  [ clifton hall] - Sheffield [Leadmill ] - the Howard - Blackpool Hilton.  you get the picture.

I am a bit before you Phil, starting at wheel, king mojo, top of the town. Mr Smiths, but love the Howard crossover room and recently got to dj with Richard S. Ian Levine and Terry Jones of village soul, look forward to catching your stuff Phil. Roman PS think rooms are £50 per double with full English and use of facilities, fitness room, Jacuzzi etc see website, also full restaurant facilities, lunch, tea etc. Roman

Wow some legandary clubs there Roman .  wasnt the Mojo Peter Stringfellows first forray into the night club world ? you can tell me about that when we hook up.  forgot to mention TSOP   [the sound of Prestwich]  just up the road from  Groovylicious . had some great nights there. talking to Mark Grice  at the northern soul film about Burnley  Angels and  Toney Cooney about Blackpool Mecca.  i'm  always  interested to know the clubs that blew peoples minds and sent them down the  soul/funk/jazz/modern/northern  route.  got a friend who lived in London and loved that movement with  Chris Hill - Jeff Young - Bob Jones and all those guys at places like the Goldmine.

WOW.  just back  from  D.J boot camp .   up at 5a.m for a six mile hill run in hobnail boots and sixty pound backpack     [ good for carrying those heavy tunes upstairs]   a light breakfast.  a couple of hours digging the crates for  Groovylicious.   in the gym for weights - calisthenics and sparring [ that Lodgy's  got some right hook on him ]  and early to bed . no conjugal rights for six weeks.  some taskmaster that roman !   and i thought a  D.J just rocked up with a few tunes .  changed my concept forever .   the countdown is on ,forget about  x factor , strictly and any other rubbish saturday television .  Gents pick out your finest aftershave  and  comme des garcons  suit. [ that will be blue stratos and primani for me] .  Ladies get those  jimmy choos on .   jump in the Benz.  [all right in my case a citroen with a dent in the side] . forget the dark nights and the winter gales  . a shot of petrone  . [all right a pint of lager shandy in my case]  and a trip to the Groovylicious dance floor will sort that out.  look forward to seeing you there .                  shorty
